THE DOOR AND THE THIEF

Download Devotional/ YBP Audio: http://bit.ly/1rcvKmJ

John 10:1
I ASSURE you, most solemnly I tell you, he who does not enter by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way (elsewhere, from some other quarter) is a thief and a robber. [AMP]

When Ladi went to visit a soothsayer, he held her hand and told her things that were to happen to her. He also told her with precise detail what he had gone through in the past. Unknown to Ladi, the familiar spirit, that she came in contact with through that encounter with the sorcerer stole something from her. The spiritual substance the spirit stole from her can best be described as life. She discovered that after that encounter, she always had reason to come back to visit the soothsayer because she became more sickly and unfortunate.

Jesus tells us in today’s Bible verse that anyone who does not come through the door is a thief.  He later went on to explain in verse 9 that He is the door. So this means anyone that does not come through Him is a thief.

In John 14:6, Jesus says “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father except through me”.

Any other way through which humans contact the spirit and divine realm is illegal. The only proper way through which man can contact these realms is through Christ Jesus. If you do so with the aid of any spirit that is not the spirit of Christ, you will be impoverished of spiritual life (by that spirit).
Will be continued…

Go into today knowing that Jesus has come to give and restore life to you, He alone gives abundant life.

Prayer: Thank the Lord for being the good Shepherd who gives you life. Ask for grace to walk in the fullness of this life; to walk in in power, prosperity, divine health, etc. Amen.
