Rom 15:1
But we who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak, and not just please ourselves. [NET]

Nnamdi: what is wrong with bro Kola? He seems very distant and unhappy these days.

Chinedu: Are you not aware of what happened to him? His shop was affected when those protesters raided the market.

Nnamdi: Oh no! That big shop? That was his livelihood. He must be going through a very tough time. I need to see him and encourage him.

Nnamdi made time to see Kola and encouraged him because he too had experienced something similar a very long time ago. Nnamdi gave Kola a lot of money, some of which was a loan. This was to help him restart his business. That was how Kola’s business was restored because he was around real Christian brothers.

Christian love should be real and practical. We need to go out of our way sometimes to help each other because we are members of the same household. This is what the world sees and knows that we are truly of God, and want to become part of us (see John 13:35).

Showing practical love is the greatest manifestation of the divine nature you have received. Love is superior to all the other divine attributes you have received (see 1 Cor 13:13).

Gal 5:6 “For [if we are] in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but only faith activated and expressed and working through love”. [AMPC]

Go into today knowing that the surest way of activating, optimizing and growing your faith is by walking in love.

Ask the Lord to help you walk in His nature of love. Amen.
