1 Cor 3:1-3
Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly — mere infants in Christ. 2 I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready.
Paul the apostle of the lord Jesus Christ tells these Corinthian Christians about how they were not ready for the solid food of God’s word.
God has made all grace abound toward you so that you will be able to grow to the extent of exercising spiritual authority as a son of God who you are meant to be.
When a Christians cares much about the things of this world, chances are that the Christian will not grow or He is compromising his or her spiritual authority. Walking in the spirit or being a spiritual Christian means your spiritual life means more to you than your physical life.
One out of the numerous advantages of having more spiritual authority is that demons, devils and principalities obey you, even the elements and elementals will obey your voice.
Prayer: Father, help me to walk in the spirit and manifest the fruit of the spirit. Please deliver from the grip of this world, in Jesus name I pray. Amen

Matt 5:14
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
The light that Jesus is talking about here is clearly not a physical one. When He tells us to let our light so shine, He is referring to Spiritual light; that light that makes for spiritual life just as physical light facilitates physical life. So when He says a city that is set on a hill cannot be hid, He is not referring to the physical as much as He is referring to the spiritual. This is a wakeup call and  great news to all who have been blessed to be chosen to shine the light of our great lord and savior. He wants you to know that the principalities and powers and all spiritual forces are aware of your existence and glory.
When you choose to shine this light, you become a dwelling for the lord Himself. This also means that you are known and particularly noticed by God, the creator of heaven and earth. You also need to remember that just as physical light effortlessly dispels darkness, your spiritual light drives those principalities and spirits of darkness far away from your wavelength.
Prayer: our dear heavenly father, we thank you for making us shine your light and showing the world your glory. I pray that our light will continue to shine brighter and never dim, in Jesus name. Amen.

John 9:5
As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
Jesus is the light of the world. He is the light of life.
You cannot live in this world without light because you need light to make sence of the things in the world. It is light that helps us know the potential of what is to be eaten and what is to be used for clothing. Life cannot exist for man without light. Those who are blind and cannot see the light only survive because of the assistance of those who use light to see.
God’s plan was for mankind to no longer walk in darkness but to have the light of life. Physical light makes it possible for us to live life; Spiritual light makes it possible for us to live the spiritual life more so.
Why do we need to live the spiritual life? Because we are incomplete without it; God made us tripartite: Spirit, soul and body. Before Jesus came into the world, a part of humankind was collectively dead, we were Spiritually dead because spiritual death is a parting from the source of Spiritual Life- God. We could not commune with God and were without hope. Jesus came to change that.
Prayer: Dear Lord God of the heavens and the earth. Thank you for saving me and making me your own. I pray that you help me represent you effectively as light in this world; I pray that you fill me with your spirit. In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen

John 8:12
Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, "I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won't have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life."
We were all born into a life characterized by darkness because we were all born with a sinful nature. God has prepared a way for us to be free from this sinful nature that came as a result of our being descendants of Adam. We were in Him when He sinned against God and therefore all humankind sinned when this one man, Adam sinned. God made an arrangement to save us from this darkness by sending His only begotten son to come and suffer the penalty for our sins so that we, being joined to Him, can be free of darkness but have the light of life. Sin is not just a disobedience of the word of God but is a transgression of the law of life. That is why a soul that sins must bear the ultimate penalty of death. This rule applies to every soul, whether human, angels or even God. This is the reason why the angels that sinned will ultimately bear the penalty of eternal death. This is the reason why the devil attempted to cause Jesus (who is God) to sin, the way he tempted the first Adam to do the same. This is the reason why our sins had to be atoned for by one who had no sin- Jesus.
Jesus now makes intersessions for us not because of our sins (transgression of the law of life) but because of our trespasses (going beyond our boundary, encroaching etc.) because we have been bought with a price. The basis for us receiving forgiveness and a restoration of our fellowship with God is that we expressed His nature by forgiving also those who have sinned against us.
Prayer: Father in heaven. Thank you for your word today. I pray that you help me live the life you called me to live under you. I pray that you help me to bear your light in this world that seems to be getting darker. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Titus 2:11-12
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world

Yesterday we talked about how God’s grace can only be received through faith in the lord Jesus Christ.
Grace is the ability that God has given you to live the life He has called you to live and this grace is not a function of what you do but because of God’s compassionate love for you.
You walk in this ability God has given you by first of all believing that you have it and that you are above the temptations and ungodliness you see around.
I want you to know today that God has indeed made all grace abound for you, just like a blind man can never drive a car, a man who does not see this truth will never truly enjoy this benefit.

Prayer: father in Heaven, I thank you for this day and your daily load of benefits, I pray today that I will walk in constant consciousness of your grace and your Holy Spirit that lives within me, In Jesus name, Amen.
