Matthew 10:41-42 (NET)
Whoever receives a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward. Whoever receives a righteous person in the name of a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward. And whoever gives only a cup of cold water to one of these little ones in the name of a disciple, I tell you the truth, he will never lose his reward.”

It was observed that in a certain village, a particular household was so blessed that they became the object of envy. But they continually increased and did not diminish despite the great envy. The children from that household were by far the most successful people from that village. They were leaders at home and abroad and they brought light to their little community.

Someone decided to investigate why that family was so blessed in his village. It didn’t take him long to find out that their grandfather was the only one in that village that welcomed the foreign missionaries who came to the village with the gospel. He and his household were their first and only converts for many months. He was kind to them and his house became their lodge.

The kingdom of God is a kingdom of grace. It is also a kingdom of rewards. We will be rewarded for the way we respond to God’s grace (see Col 3:24, 1Cor 3:14): we will be rewarded for the work we do; for the way we treat other people, especially people who come in the name of the Lord.

Go into today remembering that God rewards people. Live your life with this consciousness.

Hebrews 11:6: ‘… For the one who approaches God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek him’

Prayer: Ask the Lord to help you walk in such a way that you will be rewarded (Rev 22:12).

Romans 8:3-4 (NET)
For God achieved what the law could not do because it was weakened through the flesh. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and concerning sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, so that the righteous requirement of the law may be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

The law shows the demands of God. Grace shows the supply of God.

To receive grace without understanding the law is to receive a supply without knowing how great a demand it has met and surpassed. It is to cheapen grace.

But to receive grace knowing fully well I could never have met God's demands, is to become a person that depends on grace everyday

Now, that is true Christian faith.

What the law could not do, grace is doing in us.
So if you want to know what grace is doing for us, look at what the law was trying to do!

Grace does not set aside the law, it fulfills it. Instead of being under the law, we become the fulfillment of the law.
It is written in our hearts and fulfilled in our lives (Heb 8:10, 10:16). It ceases to be a means of justification before God, but rather becomes the evidence of our justification by grace.

So we do not labor under the law, rather it has become a part of us from within, even our very lives.
This is what it means to be under grace.

To be under grace does not mean to be lawless, or that there is no moral code or that it depends on the individual concerned.
Rather, being under grace means that the Law Giver lives in our hearts, and acts through our lives.

Prayer: Ask the Lord to fill you with His spirit and empower you to walk in the spirit at all times.

Colossians 1:16 (NET)
For all things in heaven and on earth were created by him - all things, whether visible or invisible, whether thrones or dominions, whether principalities or powers - all things were created through him and for him.

Before spiritual thrones were occupied by demonic beings, the Lord made them, and his plan was for them to be occupied by man. He also made angels. But a third of them fell and became beings of darkness. Man also fell and became flesh. Because of man’s fall, these thrones have been occupied by the fallen angels.

Hebrews 2:5 & 8 reveals that God's plan is for humankind to rule all things [created]. This is the plan that caused war in heaven because Satan wanted to take the position reserved for man and become ruler over all things. But as glorious as he was, he was created as an angel: a servant and not a son [heir]. His designation was not for his throne to be exalted above the stars (angels see Rev 1:20) of God. That was the designation of man (see 1 Cor 6:3, Heb 2:5, 8).

Since man fell and could not fulfill his eternal destiny, the Lord became like man had become (flesh), so that He would fulfill this destiny, and we in Him might all fulfill it. He became the last Adam.

Think about how valuable and powerful a man in Christ is. He has been made alive and brought back into his eternal destiny. He is no longer going to end up as mere flesh, but will be resurrected into the glorious destiny of God’s sons.

Go into today remembering that what we (Christians) have in Christ is much more valuable than all the wealth in the world. God wants to give us His kingdom (Luke 12:32). He wants to make us rule all things; including the whole universe.

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me walk worthy of my calling and please you in all regards. Amen. (See 1 Thessalonians 2:12).

Colossians 1:16 (NET)
For all things in heaven and on earth were created by him - all things, whether visible or invisible, whether thrones or dominions, whether principalities or powers - all things were created through him and for him.

Falade’s father was a well sought after native doctor and sorcerer. He had started training Falade to take his place. Falade had started learning the rudiments of being a native doctor, he already knew how to conjure and send spirits on errands.

When he got to the university, a young lady he wanted to go out with wouldn’t respond to him. Because he was angry that she kept turning him down, he decided to send some spirits to afflict her one night. That night was the last he ever heard from those spirits, and he was struck with a terrible migraine that wouldn’t leave. This was how he found out that the young lady was a believer in Christ, and this was the way the Lord brought him into the light of Christ.

When Falade became a believer, it was war in his family. His father was determined to show him that he was mistaken. He later found out that his father was now joining forces with the most powerful sorcerers in the land to ‘show his son a lesson and bring him back to his senses’. He knew they wanted to use very powerful principalities to fight him. He was becoming afraid.

The day he read Colossians 1:16, his faith was boosted. He knew that the powers his father was consulting could not touch him if he remained in Christ. He also knew that abiding in Christ means allowing the Holy Spirit abide in him and lead him.

After being struck with a stroke for many months, Falade’s father eventually received Christ on his death bed. Falade became a powerful evangelist to his generation.

Many believers have become victims of fear and demonic oppression because they don't know whose they are and how to walk with Him. When a believer abides in Christ, the power of Christ is manifested in his life, and this means he has authority over evil spirits.

Go into today asking the Lord to help you grow in the knowledge of Him; His power and dominion. This knowledge is the reason you would walk in His power.

Romans 8:2 (NET)
For the law of the life-giving Spirit in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.

Legalists have discovered freedom from sin, in the Bible; but they have not discovered freedom from the law. Consequently, they try to use the law to obtain God's righteousness. That is an absolute impossibility.

Liberalists (hyper-grace) have found freedom from the law in the Bible, but they have not discovered freedom from sin. They think the law is the problem, and that keeping laws is the major evil. Consequently, they set aside freedom from sin and try to use freedom from the law to experience God's righteousness. That is an absolute impossibility.

Romans 6 deals with freedom from sin, and Romans 7 with freedom from the law

If you want to be free from alcohol addiction, there are many organizations that can help you; but none of them may give you the Christian life. If you want to be free from every law, there are some cults that can help you even escape the law of gravity and be flying up and down without a visa, but that isn't the Christian life.

The Christian life is the freedom IN CHRIST.

We don't start out by trying to be free from sins or from the law. No. We believe in Christ; in Him crucified. That's how we are justified from all things, and from them set free; including from our very own selves.

Wherefore Christian faith is neither that self-righteous legalistic freedom from sin without freedom from the law, nor that lawless liberalist freedom from the law without freedom from sin.

It is neither self-righteousness nor lawlessness. It is the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, setting free from the law of sin and death, and fulfilling in the life of the Christian, the righteous requirement of the Law of God, as he walks in the Spirit.

John 13:35 (NLT)
Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples."

Farida became a believer because of the love her roommate showed her, but this was the first step. She was totally convinced that Christ was the way when she saw the way the Christian brethren in her roommate’s fellowship truly loved each other. She observed that they were indeed a family, and the love they had for each other was not fake. It had to be divine.

When the devil wants to destroy a Christian fellowship or church assembly, he targets their love for one another. He is not really threatened if the believers walk in great power and ‘holiness’, but in little love. The devil is not even threatened by the prosperity of believers if they do not walk in love towards one another.

Unconditional and unselfish love can only be found in the body of Christ. It cannot be found anywhere else (see 1 John 4:7), and it is our greatest power as believers. When a believer walks in this love, he releases very great spiritual power, greater power than a person who prophesies and casts out devils, but has little love for his brethren. This power is so great that it causes all things (including past mistakes) to ultimately walk together for your good. Romans 8:23 shows us that all things walk together for good to them that Love God…You cannot love God that you cannot see [with your physical eyes] if you do not love his children (your Christian brethren) that you can see (see 1 John 4:20).

Go into today remembering that if you are born of God, you now have the power to love God’s people and walk in His great power.

Prayer: Ask the Lord to help you walk in true love and be fruitful in every good work.

Philippians 4:4-5 (MSG)
Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in him! Make it as clear as you can to all you meet that you’re on their side, working with them and not against them. Help them see that the Master is about to arrive. He could show up any minute!

When Farida found that she was pregnant, she was devastated. She struggled with guilt and shame and did not know how to handle this situation. She was in her second year on campus.

She decided to share this with her roommate who was a believer. Her roommate was saddened by this news and they both cried together.

‘What are you going to do now?’ Her roommate asked her.

I don't know. I really don't know. But I can't abort it. I dreamt that I died trying to abort it.

Her roommate was happy that she was not going to take a human life because of her mistake. She encouraged her to be strong and helped her make the right decisions.

Because of the way her roommate helped and supported her in this time of great trial, Farida became a believer in the Lord Jesus. She repented of her sins and became really committed to Christ.

When Farida gave birth, brethren were the ones who rallied round her and helped her. She was not alone.

She grew in the knowledge of God and later became one who taught young girls how not to make the mistakes she made. The Lord gave her a very fruitful ministry in life. She eventually opened a center where young ladies willing to leave prostitution could come and learn a trade to earn a living, and know the Lord in the process.

This great life and ministry was because a believer showed love to her unbelieving roommate at her time of guilt and shame.

As believers, when dealing with unbelievers, let us not forget that God loves them, and Christ died to save them. Do not let your hate for their sin hinder you from loving them. And let your relationship with them always be in the name of the Lord, guided by a desire to bring them into the light of God’s love.

Prayer: Lord, please help me love and win souls for you everywhere I go. Amen.

Colossians 1:15 (NET)
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation

When God decided to create the universe, the word of God (the second person of the Godhead) had to beget this realm and show up in it first. It is through Him that all other things were made (see John 1:3). He created and formed all things in the universe. The stars and other heavenly bodies are literally the works of his hands (see Heb 1:9).

Before man fell and became flesh, God (the word) didn't have to become flesh. He just needed to put on a body of glory that could operate in our realm. This body radiated his glory.

God made man in His image. Man originally had a body that radiated God’s glory. But when man fell and became flesh, the whole of creation fell with man and became greatly limited (see Rom 8:19-21). God now had to become flesh to save us and redeem us (and redeem the whole creation with us). When God (the Word) stripped himself of His glory and became flesh, He came as the man Jesus (John 1:14).

As flesh, Jesus did the needful to redeem man and bring us back into the glory of God. He died and shed his blood as the atoning sacrifice for our sin because the wages of sin is death. He did this to end the dominion of sin over us and to usher in the dominion of God’s glorious kingdom.

Go into today thanking God for what He has done for you in Christ. If you are not yet born again, today is the day of salvation. Do not postpone it.

Colossians 1:15 (NET)
[Christ] is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation

If as a computer programmer, you created a virtual world inside your computer, and in it, you created some virtual creatures that had the ability to continue to exist in their virtual environment because of some well-programed subroutines you created within that virtual environment. If they had the ability to self-determine, reproduce, and do many other such things, that would be good. But it would be impossible for you to relate to them in a meaningful way because they are not in your realm. It would be impossible for you to properly help them because they are not in your realm.

If you really wanted to have a relationship with them, you would have to create your own virtual body that can exist in their realm. It would be your avatar body in that realm, and through it, you can relate to them and help them.

When you compare our realm of time and space with God's realm of reality, ours would be like the virtual reality inside a computer.

In order for us to have a relationship with God, God had to become like one of us and come into our realm. Anytime you see God operating in our realm, it is through the Lord Jesus. He is the image of the invisible God. In Him lies the fullness of the Godhead bodily. No one comes to the father except through Him (see Col 2:9, Heb 1:3, John 14:6-9).

Go into today thanking the Lord Jesus for coming to redeem you. Those who believe in him will participate in the divine realm. they will not only be able to see the eternal kingdom but they will ultimately inherit it. Hallelujah!(see John 3:3,5, 1 John 3:1-3).

Psalms 18:6 (NKJV)
In my distress I called upon the Lord, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry came before Him, even to His ears.

When you examine the story of king Saul and king David, it is easy to come to the conclusion that Saul wasn’t even as sinful as David when looking at it from a human perspective, but David was the man after God’s heart even though he made some bogus mistakes.

All Saul ever did to lose the kingdom was to disobey a simple instruction from the Lord (so it seems). And he was killed because he consulted a witch in order to know what to do. He also tried to kill David even though he knew that the anointing of God was upon David. Saul’s biggest problem was that he did not really have a heart after God.

If you read the Psalm above, you would see that David usually referred to God as His God. He had a personal relationship with the Lord and he loved the Lord (see Psalm 116:1, Psalm 31:23). He cared about how the Lord felt and would not consciously do something that he knew would displease the Lord. He repented anytime he found that he was wrong.

But Saul never really had a heart for God. He was simply a religious fellow. In 1 Samuel 15:30, after judgment was proclaimed against Saul, he did not repent but was more interested in the way he was perceived by the people. Notice that he referred to God as Samuel’s God and not as his God.

There are lessons we can learn from the life of Saul: You cannot be a people pleaser and a God pleaser at the same time. You cannot please God if your heart is far away from him.

Go into today remembering that you can be ever closer to the Lord God and do more exploits(Dan 11:32). Loving the Lord with all your heart is the secret.
Prayer: Ask the Lord to help you love Him with all your heart.

2 Corinthians 5:14-15 (NKJV)
For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died;
and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

Paul did not just preach the gospel because the sins of men had been forgiven in Christ; he preached because he judged that if One died for all, then all had died too, so that henceforth those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for the One who died and rose again.

On that basis says he that "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new"(2 Cor 5:17).

You have done well by telling the thief his stealing has been forgiven, but you do better by making him know there is a new life in Christ Jesus, where the thief is gone, and a new man is born

Not only did we commit sins, we were also born in sin.

Not only is what I've done the problem, who I am is also the problem.

We didn't become sinners because we committed sins, we committed sins because we were born that way.

And whatever we became by birth, we may only be delivered from, by death.

Coming to God in Christ Jesus isn't just great because of total forgiveness for all you ever did, it is great because you receive total deliverance from all you ever were.

Go into today remembering that grace does not just lead to repentance from past actions, grace causes us to lose our old lives.

1 Peter 2:24 (NKJV)
Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed.

Everything we receive from God is received by faith. We receive our salvation by faith. This means in order for you to receive salvation, you first believe in the Lord Jesus, and then believe God’s word that says you are saved because you believe in the Lord Jesus.

For those who are in Christ Jesus, your healing has been concluded on the cross. Divine health is your portion, and just in case you are sick, you have already been healed by His stripes. You have to receive this healing by faith too. This means you have to first believe that you have been healed.

When you became born again, you first of all believed, and then you confessed. That is the way to receive anything that has been made available to you by grace. It is time to believe that you are already healed, and begin to confess that you are healed. Do not let your confession change, and do not let the fact that symptoms persist change what you believe and confess. This is called the good fight of faith, a fight that you are bound to win if you do not give up because we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus (Rom 8:37).

If you have symptoms of sickness in your body, go into today remembering that your healing has already been concluded in the spirit realm. All that is left is for you to receive it by faith.

Confession: I am healed by His stripes. I walk in divine healing by the power of the cross.

Colossians 1:14 (NET)
In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Daniele had committed so many sins that she felt so dirty and irredeemable. She grew up attending church and had committed her life to the Lord at a very tender age. But when she got to high school, she started mixing up with the wrong company and got involved with all kinds of wrong and defiling things. Because she did not understand that there was not only redemption from sin, but there was also forgiveness of sins in Christ Jesus she ran away from the Lord because she felt so dirty and unacceptable. This made it possible for the devil to plunge her deeper and deeper into iniquity.

Many people have plunged deeper into iniquity, because they have been deceived to believe that the Lord doesn’t want them anymore because of the gravity of their sins. They easily forget that while they were hopeless sinners who didn’t want anything to do with God, Christ came and died for them to save them. How much more now that they want to have a relationship with God, but have weaknesses.

It is only in Christ that we can find the grace to live lives that truly please Him. The closer we are to Him, the more His grace is multiplied within us (see 2 Pet 1:2). And this grace is the secret of walking in the divine nature, and escaping the corruption in this world through lust.

Whenever you feel dirty, do not run away from the Lord. Run towards Him and receive cleansing. He wants to cleanse you and make you new again. He wants to empower you to walk above the power of sin.

Go into today thanking the Lord for the redemption you have received through His blood. Thank Him because He forgives all your iniquities (see Psalm 103:1-3).

Jude 1:24 (KJV)
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.

Although Peace had given her life to Christ Jesus (Rom 6:13,12:1) and was baptized in the Holy Spirit, she could not overcome certain habits and sins. While studying her Bible, she read about the Spirit of Grace and Prayer (Zech 12:10) and began to ask God for it. She later realized that it had been months and she had not fallen into those habits and sins. The strength to overcome came because the Spirit of Grace and Prayer came upon her and she became very prayerful and continually conscious of Lord's presence within her.

Many have prayed, fasted and even taken certain disciplinary measures, but the mountains in their lives remain. They now live in frustration, thinking God has failed them. But the curse is as strong as its cause. When the cause is correctly handled and taken away; the curse fizzles out without a fight.

Proverb 26:2 (KJV) “As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come”

Matthew 26: 41 (KJV) “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak”

You see! The way not to fall into temptation is watching (eyes fixed on Jesus) and praying.

Don’t pray, fast or discipline yourself for fear of falling into sin. Instead, pray, fast and discipline yourself because you desire a closer relationship with God. Commit yourself to him and he will keep you from falling.

Turn your eyes from your weaknesses, challenges, and problems. Fix your gaze on Jesus Christ and you will see things turn around in your favor like night turns to day. You will not fall when your eyes are fixed on Jesus.

Galatians 2:20 (NET)
I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So the life I now live in the body, I live because of the faithfulness of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

‘You cannot curse Christ!’ That was what Taiwo said when he heard that someone tried to place a curse on him. He understood that he was crucified with Christ because he was now living the exchanged life by faith, and it was Christ that now lived in Him. So even though someone could place a curse on the old him, the old him is dead and no one can place a curse on his new life because no one can place a curse on Christ Jesus. He knew that the life he was now living as a believer was different from the life he once lived as an unbeliever. This was his proof that Christ indeed lived in him.

He remembered that there were many curses in his life before he started living the exchanged life.

Being a believer in Christ means you allow Him change you from within. It means you forsake your old life of sin and live the new life of righteousness that you have received in your spirit. This is the way to walk free of the dominion of curses and demonic manipulations.

Go into today thanking the Lord for giving His life for you and setting you free from every curse. Ask Him to help you walk in this freedom.

2 Timothy 3:16 (ESV)
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.

Someone may say what they do or fail to do does not affect who they are in Christ, and add "I know who I am!"

Really?

The Bible clearly says that he who hears God's word and does not do it, is like a man who looks at himself in a mirror and then immediately forgets what he saw.

James says you have forgotten and are deceiving yourself (James 1:22-24), Peter says you have forgotten and cannot see ahead (2 Peter 1:5-9)

And this is why some don't like James, Peter, or Jude; and try to reject the gospel accounts, alter Hebrews and John, and hide under the image of Paul they have set up. But that is simply rejecting all scripture, including Paul, who says the very same things (1 Corinthians 4:15-17, 2 Corinthians 13:5-7)

Others say "Don't preach conduct, just preach the core (or focus) of the message.

Not so.

The purpose of grace is kingdom. The proof of faith is works. The evidence of righteousness is right living.

Yes, there is forgiveness. Yes, there is preservation. But, there also is instruction, admonition, and training in practical righteousness.

Don't let anyone tell you that the focus of building a house is simply to lay the foundation. That is called the anointing of forgetfulness for the ministry of uncompleted buildings. It is unbiblical.

Brother, sister; if you are not doing what you claim to be, if you are not living according to your new life; your identity has indeed not changed; but stop kidding yourself with "I know who I am"
You don't know who you are. You have forgotten.

Go into today remembering that God has empowered you with grace to please Him in all regards and be fruitful in every good work (Col 1:9).

Colossians 1:13 (NET)
He delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of the Son he loves.

I have received questions from believers who wonder why the powers of darkness from their family backgrounds still seem to have sway over them, even after they have believed. I simply make them understand that they have been set free in Christ. And their faith and confession must never change from this truth. They must never again say that there is a curse in their lives, even if they seem to see the physical manifestation of a curse. They must insist and continue to believe what God says concerning them despite what they see. For we walk by faith and not by sight.

Now many believers continue in bondage because they still believe and say that they are in bondage.

They have been legally set free from the bondage of darkness, but they there is a need for their freedom to be enforced by the power of Christ’s kingdom. This power is released by their total submission to the authority of Christ; and continuing to believe His word that they have been set free, regardless of their experiences.

Many do not resist the devil in their lives because they have not fully submitted to the Lord. It is when you submit to the Lord that you will resist the devil and he will flee from you (see James 4:7).

Go into today remembering that being in God’s kingdom means submitting to the authority and Lordship of Christ Jesus through His Spirit. This is the only way to experience total freedom.

Colossians 1:13 (NET)
He delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of the Son he loves,

When Ebuka first heard the gospel message, he knew he was walking under the power of an ancestral curse. His elder brother’s first daughter died at birth. His younger brother had also just lost his first daughter too. There were other aspects of this ancestral curse that manifested, and Ebuka knew that he was under the dominion of the dark powers responsible for this curse on his family.

When he received the gospel and believed it, one of the most exciting things about it was that he was no longer under the dominion of darkness but now brought to the dominion of Christ.

Somehow he knew that the extent to which he submitted to the dominion of Christ (that he was now translated into) was the extent to which he would walk outside of the physical manifestation of the dominion of darkness (that he was now delivered from). He decided to live a life that is totally sold out to Christ and His kingdom. This is how he lived a life that was totally free from the influence of the very dark forces that had held his entire family captive for generations.

God did not just deliver you from the kingdom and dominion of darkness, He transferred you into the kingdom Christ Jesus.

It is the authority of this new kingdom that enforces the reality of your deliverance. When a law is given, it may appear as if it does not exist if it is not enforced by the appropriate authorities.

Go into today remembering that it is by the authority of Christ’s kingdom that you enter into the experience of your freedom.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

The mess in our society continues because the people of God will not humble themselves, pray, seek God’s face and turn from their wicked ways.

Are you not the reason your family will be free from that terrible situation? They don’t know God, but you do. Maybe yours knows God, but still suffers certain limitations. You have blamed everyone and everything. But today is the day of deliverance, God has given His word, He will hear from heaven, and will forgive your sin, and will heal your land if, you will humble yourself and pray, and seek His face, and turn from your wicked ways.

Will you arise as a savior for your family, society and country? Will you quit the blames, complaints and murmurs and begin to call on the Lord for the deliverance your heart so desires? The Lord is still seeking for men that will make up the hedge. Will He find you?

Ezekiel 22:28 KJV
“And I sought for a man among them that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it...”

Isaiah 58:15 KJV
And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

People (young and old) gather together every day complaining about how bad our society has become. Most of the time we blame our parents, political and religious leaders, but the cycle has continued through the years. The young who complained have grown and have followed the same step. Nothing has changed. Our world seems to be under a curse. Oh yes it is!

Activists, rebel groups, hate speeches and several campaigns have risen over the years but couldn’t change anything. We sought solace in being educated, but that hasn’t really helped us. “The old wine we say, is better than the new, oh for the good old days” we yearn!

Maybe a revolution will do? Let the wicked and irresponsible leaders be eliminated! Will that change you? Will that change your family? Certainly not!

What then is the hope of humanity?

For, if my people, which are called by my name, shall HUMBLE THEMSELVES, and PRAY, and SEEK MY FACE, and TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

What our land needs is revival; the kingdom of God revealed and the healing it brings. Only God’s people can make this happen.

Will you join the camp of the humble today? Quit complaining and begin to pray. The change that the world so desires is with the people of God.

Colossians 1:11-12 (NET)
being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might for the display of all patience and steadfastness, joyfully giving thanks to the Father who has qualified you to share in the saints’ inheritance in the light.

When a believer consciously rejoices in the Lord always, he is walking in a virtue that ultimately produces spiritual strength in his spirit (Neh 8:10). The fact that joy is not naturally flowing from your spirit as a believer means you need some strengthening in your spirit.

The easiest way to rejoice in the Lord in all things is to begin with thanksgiving. No matter what situation you find yourself as a believer, you always have reasons to be thankful. The number 1 reason is that God has qualified you to share in the saints’ inheritance. Out of the billions of people on earth, it pleased Him to make you one of the select few who are chosen to share in His glorious light.

All the pages of all the books on the earth are not sufficient to explain the scale and the ramifications of this glory. Human senses cannot grasp it (see 1 Cor 2:9).

Go into today thanking the Lord for making you qualified to share in the saint’s inheritance. Thank Him because you know that if he could do this for you, there is nothing else that He will not willingly do for you if it is for your good.

Romans 8:32 (NET)
Indeed, he who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, freely give us all things?

Devotional  Audio☞ http://bit.ly/aud1422

Colossians 1:11 (NET)
Being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might, for the display of all patience and steadfastness, joyfully

When Ramat first believed, she was a very joyful and patient person even though she faced great persecution from her family members and colleagues at work. She did not know that these virtues of patience, steadfastness, and joy, were displayed in her life because she was constantly strengthened in the inner-man through her fellowship with the Lord and with the brethren.

She got transferred to another state where she was no more persecuted in the office. But when she got to that state, she didn’t immediately find a good Christian fellowship. This affected her personal fellowship with the Lord. She noticed that with time, she was no more as joyful and patient as she used to be. She also observed that she was no more as powerful in her spirit. It didn’t take her time to know where the problem was coming from.

One thing we can get from today’s Bible verse is that spiritual strength produces a display of patience, steadfastness and joy. A spiritually sturdy believer will be patient and steadfast in joy, not in heaviness. If you notice that you are becoming impatient and heavy, it is an indication of waning spiritual strength.

When a spiritual reality produces a physical display of virtue in the life of a believer, the believer can choose to reactivate that same spiritual reality by consciously walking in that virtue.

For example, the fruit of the spirit is joy (Gal 5:22). This means when a person is Spirit filled, joy would flow from within, even in contrary situations. But we are also instructed to rejoice in the Lord in the Lord always (Phil 4:4). So even though we may not always feel the fountain of joy flowing from within, we can insist that we will rejoice in the Lord, and this willful joy would reconnect us with the fountain.

Go into today remembering that patience, joy and thanksgiving are signs of spiritual strength. Choosing to walk in these is choosing to stay spiritually strong.
