KEYS TO PEACE pt6

Rom 8:5-8
Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.
So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. 7 For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God's laws, and it never will. 8 That's why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.
NLT
One of the ways you can discern which of the two natures dominate you (either the Spirit’s or the sinful nature) is observing the kind of things that dominate your thoughts.
When sinful things are the things that dominate your thoughts, it is an indication that even though you may be a Christian, you are now being dominated by the sinful nature.
There is the question of how this should be ever possible since you are a child of God. The truth is that as long as you live in this flesh (that can never please God of its own accord ), there will be a tendency, if you don’t watch it, of gravitating towards its appetites instead of toward s the Spirit’s appetites.
Thankfully, God has given us a remedy to this problem. He has given us His word with which he washes us to present us holy and blameless, He has given us the Holy Spirit whose reconciliation will make us Holy again, and He has given us one another to strengthen each other.
God wants you to walk in the Spirit more than you want to walk walk in the Spirit and He has made all grace available for you to do this

PAYER: Dear heavenly father, I thank you for your grace and your word you have spoken to me today. i pray that this word will bear fruits unto eternal life, in Jesus name. Amen

KEYS TO PEACE 5

NLT

Even though you are born again, you can allow the sinful nature control you or allow the Spirit of God, whose tabernacle in your spirit, control you. Remember that we have said here that one of the ways to do this is by walking in the Spirit and this means giving your spirit life more priority to your flesh life; giving more priority to the things that enhance your spiritual life.
The truth is that allowing the Holy Spirit to control the way you live or walking in the Spirit is a key to peace.
God’s plan for you indeed is perfect peace and He has given you an ultimate rout to experiencing this: WALKING IN THE SPIRIT.
May the grace of God lead us to walking more and more in the spirit and less and less in the flesh. Amen

PRAYER: dear heavenly father, I thank you for the opportunity I still have to be counted among your own. I thank you for the grace you have given me to be able to walk in the Spirit. I pray lord that you help me walk more and more in the grace daily, in Jesus name. Amen.

KEYS TO PEACE pt4

Isa 26:3
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
KJV

Perfect peace is not just a state of mind but a state of being. God’s plan for all His children is for them to be kept in this state where everything is moving smoothly and wonderfully.
God has promised to never leave you nor forsake you, if this then is true, then you need to trust Him for His word and let your mind be always set on Him.
A practical application of this is when you choose to not do the things that grieve Him because you go about with a God consciousness, and this God consciousness is not inspired by fear of hell or fear of failure but trust in God.
God does not need you to trust Him, but you need to trust Him in order to walk with Him. God cares indeed for you.

Prayer: Dear heavenly father, I thank you for your word today. I pray that this words will bear fruit in my life today, in Jesus name. Amen

PRECIOUS HOLY SPIRIT

Eph 1:13-14
In Him you also who have heard the Word of Truth, the glad tidings (Gospel) of your salvation, and have believed in and adhered to and relied on Him, were stamped with the seal of the long-promised Holy Spirit. 14 That [Spirit] is the guarantee of our inheritance [the first fruits, the pledge and foretaste, the down payment on our heritage], in anticipation of its full redemption and our acquiring [complete] possession of it — to the praise of His glory.
AMP

Those who have truly believed in the Lord Jesus Christ have been stamped by and sealed with the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is our guarantee that we will be raptured. So if you have the Holy Spirit within you, do not grieve Him, keep your relationship with the Holy Spirit intact because He is your only guarantee that when the rapture happens or when your body dies, you will be with the Lord.
There are some reasons today why some of you may not be sure of your eternal security. The lord wants you to know today that your security lies on your sweet fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Remember He is the Holy Spirit, so He does not like unholy things ( just a hint to keeping a sweet fellowship with Him).
When the rapture happens, it will be like a magnet, the first pole of the magnet is Jesus Christ, and the second is the Holy Spirit. Anyone who the Holy Spirit is found in will be magnetized to the lord Jesus. When we die, the same thing happens; anyone who the Spirit of God is in will be magnetized to Jesus Christ. If not, then free fall…

PRAYER:
Father in heaven, I thank you for your love and mercy over me. I pray that you fill me today with the Holy Spirit and help me to keep a constant and sweet fellowship with you, in Jesus name. Amen.

KEYS TO PEACE pt3

Isa 26:3
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
KJV

What does it mean to keep your mind stayed on God because you trust in Him?
There can be more than one reason why you can keep your mind stayed on God. Some people’s minds are stayed on God not because they trust Him as much as because they expect something from Him. Some other people’s minds are stayed on God because they need His power in their lives. But there are those who God keeps in perfect peace and they are those whose minds are stayed on Him because of the trust they have in Him.
When your mind is stayed on a person, it means you think about the person all the time. It means thoughts about that person dominates your mind and your reality is centered on the existence of that person.  Your mind can only be stayed on one person at a time, and that person should be God.
Peace means absence of worry and fear in every aspect of your life; it means every department of your life is moving smoothly and according to plan, perfect peace means they are all moving better than planned.
Perfect peace is God’s promise to you if you will start keeping your mind stayed on Him because of your faith and trust in Him
Prayer: Dear heavenly father, I thank you for the life that you have given me, I thank you that your plan for me is good and not evil. I pray you teach me daily how to trust in you more and keep my mind stayed on you. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

KEYS TO PEACE pt2

Isa 26:3
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
KJV

In the earlier part of our discussion on this topic, we saw that one of the ways to having true peace is praying about everything.
God is saying here today that He will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are stayed on Him because they trust in Him.
What is means to trust in God in this context is the kind of trust that our father Abraham had in the lord God; he obeyed even to the point of being willing to give away what mattered to Him the most in this life, he knew that God cared about Him and was not interested in his shame but that God wanted the best for him, he also knew that God was in control of all creation and He is the lord (owner and controller).
Only those whose minds are stayed on the lord because of trust in Him will receive  perfect peace from Him.
What does it mean to keep your mind stayed on God because you trust in Him?
Will be continued next time…

Prayer: Father in heaven, I give you all the praise and glory for today. I worship your holy name. I ask that install in my heart your grace for trusting you more, from this moment. In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen

GOD'S PROMISE

http://zhishan.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/promise1.jpg

Romans 4:13-14
Clearly, God's promise to give the whole earth to Abraham and his descendants was based not on his obedience to God's law, but on a right relationship with God that comes by faith.
NLT

God almighty who is your father is more interested in having a right relationship with you than for you to conform to certain rules and regulations which are encapsulated in religion.
Jesus Christ came to this world to die on the cross for us so that we would have a relationship with God first as children. For as many as received Him, God gave them power to become children of God (John 1:12). God wants you to know that as long as you have received Jesus Christ as you lord and savior, He is your father. You have to respond to Him this way in order to complete the process.
If a homeless child who is adopted by a wealthy man never accepts this wealthy man as father or even agrees to move into his house, that child will continue to remain homeless even though he now has a father.
It is your choice whether you will walk in the position and authority you have as a son of God. God has given you the power to become a son, whether or not you use this power is your choice and nobody else’s.
If you make a mistake, don’t waste any time by dwelling there, run back to your Father who is always on your side; Tell him the details of the mistake and repent of it. Do not let Satan make you dwell in that guilt because dwelling in guilt does not produce any good result.
Remember that God cares for you and that He loves you with an everlasting love. God does not want you to be unhappy, God wants the best for you at all times. When you walk with God you will discover that God’s ways will eventually produce better results than you ever hoped for or imagined.

Prayer: Heavenly father, thank you for your word. I pray that your word will bear everlasting fruits in my life, and that your name will be glorified in my life today and every day. In Jesus Name, Amen.
