SALVATION IS ETERNAL FOR THOSE WHO CONTINUE TO BELIEVE

🎧Audio Devotional & Bible Here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1229

Hebrews 10:26-27 (NET)
For if we deliberately keep on sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth, no further sacrifice for sins is left for us, but only a certain fearful expectation of judgment and a fury of fire that will consume God’s enemies.

Further Study: Heb 10:26-29, 1 John 2:1-2

Sade read this Bible verse and interpreted it to mean that God will not forgive her sins again when she sins as a believer who knows the truth. She was greatly oppressed by the devil because there was a time in her life that she thought she was no longer going to receive forgiveness of sin. But she was wrong and was deceived by the devil. She knew this when she started asking the right people the right questions. And then she realized that God does not take away His gift of salvation to everyone who still has faith to receive it. He will by no means cast away anyone who comes to Him (John 6:37).

Today’s Bible text is not meant for the repentant believer, it is meant for the unrepentant person who wants to continue in sin and claim the sacrifice of Christ as his ground for spiritual irresponsibility and continuance in iniquity. This refers to people who may say they believe in Christ but in reality, they do not because they abuse the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and deliberately use it as grounds for sin. Grace that is meant to free them from the power of sin is now used as a license for sin. These are such who insult the spirit of grace (see Heb 10:29).

Go into today thanking the Lord for His grace and blood that continually cleanses you from all sins. You are not among those who abuse the spirit of grace if you do not despise the sacrifice of Christ by celebrating what he gave His life to condemn (sin).

SALVATION IS ETERNAL BUT FAITH CAN FAIL

 🎧Audio Devotional & Bible Here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1228

Hebrews 10:26-27 (NET)
For if we deliberately keep on sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth, no further sacrifice for sins is left for us, but only a certain fearful expectation of judgment and a fury of fire that will consume God’s enemies.

Yesterday we saw that the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. This means that if God gives a gift, he doesn’t take it back. Our salvation is a gift and not a payment for our works, so God does not take back our salvation.

Let us liken the salvation God gives through Christ as electricity that is freely available on the high tension and low tension wires everywhere. In order for you to get your portion of this electricity, you have to connect to it using a wire.Faith is like the wire that connects you to God’s salvation (see Eph 2:8). As long as you continue to have faith for salvation, you are saved. But if a man claims to have faith for salvation, but continues to live a contrary life, it proofs his faith is dead (see James 2:14, 17).

If a believer continues to sin without repentance, he is violating his conscience and playing with a shipwreck of his faith (see 1 Tim 1:19-20). Faith produces righteousness, but rebelliously walking in the flesh (sin) erodes and ultimately extinguishes faith- it produces spiritual death (see Rom 8:13).

The problem is not whether God’s salvation is available; it is whether there is faith to receive it. Some people have got to the point of apostasy because they lost this faith. The way to get there is to continue to willfully and rebelliously sin, even after receiving the forgiveness of sin.

Go into today knowing that we are not of them that draw back unto perdition, but of them that believe to the end. See Heb 10:39.

THE GIFTS OF GOD

🎧Audio Devotional & Bible Here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1227

Romans 11:29 (KJV)
For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

When Kemi was baptized in the Holy Ghost, she was so excited because she received the gift of tongues. She could now pray in tongues.

But she did not realize that the gifts of God are without repentance. There was a time she walked in the flesh and outside the will of God, and she thought she had lost the gift and the ability to pray in the spirit. But she was wrong. The devil told her that lie because he did not want her praying in the Holy Spirit and building up herself (see Jude 1:20).

Because she believed that lie, it appeared that she could no longer pray in tongues. But when her eyes opened and she understood that God is not one to give you a gift and then collect it back, she knew she had not lost her gift from the Holy spirit.

There are some that have been deceived to believe that they have lost their salvation because of something they did or something they did not do. Your salvation is a gift; it is not something you earned. Ephesians 2:8 says: For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD.

The devil deceives people to think they have lost the gift of salvation so that they will lose the faith that makes them saved. If you see anyone who left the faith, it was not because God rejected them, it was because they rejected God and stopped believing (see John 6:37).

Go into today remembering that your salvation and any other gift you have received from God is eternal. Ask the Lord to help you use your gifts for the purpose He gave them to you.

PASS ON THE BLESSING

🎧Audio Devotional & Bible Here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1226

2 Timothy 1:5 (NET)
I recall your sincere faith that was alive first in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice, and I am sure is in you.

Ladan realized that his family members were under the power of a curse. From gathering information, he realized that it has been so in his family from the time of his great-great grandparents.

He didn’t understand how such curses worked, but he was determined to break every ancestral curse in his life and not to pass down any curse but blessings to his children.

As he started to pray [and fast] fervently concerning this, one of the first things he received was that there has been a demonic altar set up that has been working against his family. This altar created a demonic civilization that his family unknowingly subscribed to. That was why all the young men and women in the family were very promiscuous and proud.

He was instructed that if he destroys a demonic altar and its civilization, he would have to replace that altar with the kingdom of Christ and His righteousness, or his effort would be futile. This meant he would have to consciously and doggedly lead his household in the way of the Lord. His children would know the scriptures even before they know their books. He would institute traditions in his household that engender the flow of God’s grace and the prosperity of God’s word.

We can see from today's Bible text that timothy's faith (which is the greatest blessing) was passed down to him.

If an ancestor of yours could cut covenant with demons and leverage his entire bloodline to demonic control, you as a child of God can destroy such covenants and institute the blessing of God into your family.

Go into today determined to introduce generational blessings into your family by walking in the covenant of life and peace of Christ Jesus.

PASS ON WISDOM

🎧Audio Devotional & Bible Here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1225

2 Timothy 3:15 (NLT)
You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.

Many successful people in life can be traced to a mother who brought her child up to be a success; a mother who prayed for and supported her child when no one else would.

But there are some mothers that would not only be thanked on earth when the greatest awards and rewards on earth are given to their children. These mothers would also be thanked in the life to come when their sons and daughters receive the greatest rewards of all time and eternity.

Timothy was one of such people whose mother not only taught him about life and human wisdom but also taught him the holy Scriptures that gave him the wisdom to receive salvation. This is the greatest thing any parent can give to their children.

The child is the one who will ultimately make his decision whether to follow the Lord or not. But what a Christian parent can do is to teach their children the word of the Lord and be an example of the things they teach. They should also lead their children to consciously accept Christ when they are old enough to understand what that means. The word of God in their hearts will lead them on the path of wisdom that will make them saved, not because their parents instructed them so, but because they too can see the truth for themselves.

Go into today remembering that the greatest thing you can do for someone is to facilitate his salvation from eternal death to eternal life.

I AM THERE IN THE MIDST OF THEM

🎧Audio Devotional & Bible Here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1224

Matt 18:20 (KJV)
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Deola prayed and fasted about an issue that was troubling her, but she knew she had not prayed through because there was still fear and anxiety in her heart concerning the issue.
During the Sunday worship service, the pastor cut short his sermon and gave people opportunity to pray for long. As soon as Deola started praying, she knew that her prayers this time were penetrating the heavens. By the time she had prayed in church for 20 minutes (cumulatively), she knew she had prayed through. Her heart was now full of faith concerning the issue she was praying about.
She saw the visible signs of answered prayer the next day.

Jesus never breaks His word. If He has said He would be in the midst of people gathered in His name, you can be sure He will keep His word.

The problem usually is that we do not know how to access [and take advantage of] His presence that is in our midst when we gather in His name. One of the ways to easily access His presence and power is through heartfelt worship and prayers.

Your prayer is more powerful if you pray when gathered with God’s people in Christ’s name because Christ is there in your midst. There is an intensity of Christ’s presence that is available when people gather together in His name. That intensity may not always be available when you are praying alone.

Go into today, deciding to always take advantage of the greater intensity of Christ’s presence brought by the gathering of people in His name.

THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT

🎧Audio Devotional & Bible Here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1223

Rom 8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

Many times, Deji would give up and tell himself it was not possible for him to live a holy life free from sin and guilt. But he knew in his heart that he was wrong.

As he started asking questions and studying the word of God to learn how to truly live holy without sin, one of the first things he learned was that sin is in the flesh, but righteousness is in the spirit of the born-again person, and the only way not to walk in the flesh is by walking in the spirit.

He started feeding his soul with the sincere word of God and keeping himself from fellowshipping with unbelievers like he used to do before. He learned also that the way to walk in the Spirit is to walk in constant fellowship with the Lord through the Holy Spirit that he has received. This is how he started seeing improvement.

From today’s Bible verse, we can see that there are two laws that a man can walk in. The one is the law of the spirit that produces life. The other is the law of sin that produces death. Walking in the spirit produces life and peace, but walking in the flesh produces sin and death (see Rom 8:6,13).

You can walk in the spirit when you accept Christ and let His word rule your life. His word is the source of life. As it changes the way you think, it establishes in you the ability to walk in the holiness of God.

Go into today knowing that the secret to walking in the Spirit is constant fellowship with the Lord through the Holy Spirit. This is facilitated when your mind is renewed by the word of God.

FAITHFUL IN LITTLE 3

 🎧Audio Devotional & Bible Here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1222

2 Timothy 4:7-8 (KJV)
7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

When it was time for Chief Ola to hand over the management of his great company to his children, he didn’t reward them according to their age but according to their wisdom and faithfulness in the assignments he had given them earlier.

The ones who were not faithful hoped that they would get something, but the ones who were faithful knew that they were going to get something. The ones who weren’t faithful dreaded the day their father would call them to give account for their management of his business, but the ones who were faithful longed for the day their father would call them to give account.

Those who have truly been busy serving the Lord with their lives here on earth know in their spirits that their reward is being stored up for them. They know that they will be rewarded eternally because they have spent their lives serving the Lord faithfully, and they know that the one who they are serving is faithful and just (see Heb 6:10, Rev 22:12).

One of the ways to check if you are serving Christ with your life in truth is to check whether or not you long for His appearing. Those who are serving the Lord in truth will long for His appearing because they understand that His appearing will mark the beginning of their indescribable glory and reward.

Go into today remembering that God will judge your every action in life. His judgment is because He wants to reward you for your work here on earth.

FAITHFUL IN LITTLE THINGS

🎧Audio [Devotional & Bible] Here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1221

Luke 16:10 (NLT)
"If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won't be honest with greater responsibilities.

The Lord called Gloria into the ministry and she knew she would do great things on the earth for the Lord, but she was not patient with the little beginnings.

She was made an usher in the church, but what she really wanted was to be a Bible study facilitator. God’s plan for her was for her to grow in service and overcome impatience as an usher because she was a very impatient person.

It takes patience to be faithful in the little things. Many people have walked out of their destiny in God because they were not patience. Many others have made their road very complicated because they were not patient.

There are levels you can only reach in God’s kingdom when you are patient and consistent. Patience is one of the biggest signs of faith. Because of impatience, most of the people of Israel that left Egypt could not enter the Promised Land. Because of impatience, Esau lost his birthright. Because of impatience, Saul lost his place as God’s appointed king.

Go into today remembering that patience is a virtue that is produced by faith. God uses our faithfulness in the little things to determine whether we are ready for the bigger things.

Prayer: Dear Lord, please help me to be faithful in the little things you have entrusted in my hands. Amen.

FAITHFUL IN LITTLE 2

Watch the latest StreamglobeVideo here: https://youtu.be/QR-9Jl-DfsA
🎧Audio [Devotional & Bible] Here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1220

Luke 6:10 (NLT)
"If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won't be honest with greater responsibilities.

Some of Chief Ola’s children were faithful and very productive in the business entrusted them, but some of them were lazy and unfaithful. The unfaithful ones were content that they had access to their father’s trust fund, and they wouldn't lack anything for the rest of their lives. But the faithful one were interested in increasing the family fortune and doing more good things in this world through their family’s great wealth.

The unfaithful children were proving to their father and everyone that they were not worthy to be made the controllers of their father’s great estate.

Today, some Christians are only content that they are now saved and citizens of heaven. They do not care much about God’s assignment for them in the earth, they only care about their needs. This is the reason why such people do not advance in the kingdom of God. They are the ones simply satisfied that they are going to heaven. They do not care about the fate of other people.

The truth is that as you advance in God’s eternal kingdom, it will affect even your life here on earth. Those who are great in God’s eternal kingdom begin to experience the first fruits of their greatness here on earth. They are the ones that command God’s great power and authority. They are the ones who have great power with God and are privy to God’s operations on the earth.

Go into today remembering that promotion and greatness in God’s kingdom is a result of faithful and obedient service. Those who are conscious and obedient to the heavenly calling are the ones who can be faithful servants in God's house.

FAITHFUL IN LITTLE

🎧Audio [Devotional & Bible] Here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1219

Luke 16:10 (NET)
“The one who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and the one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.

Chief Ola wanted to know which of his many children would be able to control his vast estate. He loved all of them dearly, but he wanted the most faithful ones to take charge of the company. He decided to give them tasks and watch how faithful and productive they would be. He created small businesses for them, and he gave them guidance about how to effectively and successfully run the businesses.

One of the things God is achieving through time is to select his children who would be worthy of wielding His great authority over the entire universe for all eternity. Jesus brought not only salvation, but the Kingdom. Salvation is not an end; it is a means to an end- inheriting the kingdom of God.

God made us in His image and after His likeness because He wanted us to rule the universe with Him. Sin came to abort this agenda, so God had to come in the form of flesh to rescue man [from sin] and bring him back to the kingdom. He did this because of His great love.

God has given you assignments on this earth; He has also given you gifts and resources to help you accomplish these assignments.

Your eternal kingdom ranking will be determined by how faithful you are in your kingdom assignment here on earth. Your assignment in this realm of time may look really big, but the Lord calls it the little things that will determine your eligibility to the great things of His eternal kingdom.

Go into today remembering that God has ordained you to bring forth fruits (see John 15:16). He will reward you according to your work (see Rom 2:6, Rev 22:12).

THE CITY OF REFUGE 2

🎧Audio [Devotional & Bible] Here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1218

Joshua 20:2-3 (KJV)
[2]Speak to the children of Israel, saying, Appoint out for you cities of refuge, whereof I spake unto you by the hand of Moses:
[3]That the slayer that killeth any person unawares and unwittingly may flee thither: and they shall be your refuge from the avenger of blood.

Even after believing in Christ, Justin lived with guilt for a very long time because he thought his sins were too big to be totally forgiven. He confessed and asked for the forgiveness of those sins several times because he felt he had not been forgiven yet.

Thank God he met brother Luka who helped him.

To completely forget the past may be difficult, however, living without the guilt of the past is possible through Christ Jesus.

Guilt is spiritual and you cannot brainwash yourself out of guilt. You cannot fellowship with God (and walk in His grace and power) with a guilty conscience.

The blood of Jesus is powerful enough to wash any guilty conscience.

Hebrew 10:20 (NLT) says
“let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ's blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water".

Do not say my sins are too big or too numerous to be forgiven. God forgives all sin. All you have to do is come to God in the name of Jesus out of a sincere heart, confess your sins and forsake them and you will be forgiven (see 1 John 1:9).

Go into today remembering that Christ Jesus is our City of Refuge, when we run into him we will be saved from (Satan) the avenger of blood and from judgment.

THE CITY OF REFUGE 1

🎧Audio [Devotional & Bible] Here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1217

Joshua 20:2-3 (KJV)
[2]Speak to the children of Israel, saying, Appoint out for you cities of refuge, whereof I spake unto you by the hand of Moses:
[3]That the slayer that killeth any person unawares and unwittingly may flee thither: and they shall be your refuge from the avenger of blood.

As a youth, Justin had raped and murdered many, he was a drug lord responsible for the inflow of hard drugs into a major city. But one day, he attended a crusade where he got convicted of his sins. He responded to the alter call along with many others and accepted Christ as his Lord. But whenever Justin closed his eyes, pictures of his evil past played like a movie. “Can God really forgive a sinner like me? My sins are too grievous" he would say.

Justin lived in guilt for a long time until he met a brother who explained the truth about God's forgiveness to him.

We read from today's Bible text that whenever a man killed another man mistakenly, his life would be spared if he runs into the city of refuge. Jesus is our City of Refuge and whosoever runs into Him is saved and spared from eternal damnation. No sin is too big for Him to forgive, no life is too filthy for Him to wash and accept.

Go into today knowing that Jesus' blood atones for all sin; no sin is too grievous. God forgives all kinds of sins once the sinner comes to God through Christ Jesus.

Prayer: thank God for the gift of His son Jesus Christ.
Thank Him because all your sins have been forgiven.

HE EXPERIENCED DEATH FOR YOU

🎧Audio [Devotional & Bible] Here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1216
Hebrews 2:9 (NET)

But we see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by God’s grace he would experience death on behalf of everyone.

Because Vivian believed that God has withdrawn His grace and protection from her because of her sin, she was very afraid of traveling because she felt she would have an accident and die. Unknown to her, she was now being afflicted by the spirit of guilt and fear, but she thought it was the Holy Spirit that was making her feel the way she felt.
When she started having nightmares, she decided to talk to someone about her guilt and misery. She was lucky to talk to someone who had spiritual understanding, and the first thing the person did after hearing Vivian's story was to hold her hands and rebuke the spirit of guilt and fear that had been tormenting her. She now went on to explain to Vivian that she was already forgiven in Christ, but she needed to receive God's forgiveness and cleansing by believing God's word that she has forgiveness in Christ Jesus.

Forgiveness of sins and cleansing from unrighteousness is freely available for all. In Christ Jesus, God came and suffered death for everyone so that we will not have to suffer the [spiritual] consequences of our sins. Just like God's glorious salvation and the Holy Spirit, forgiveness is freely available, but the problem is that people do not receive. The devil works overtime to blind people from knowing this.

Go into today remembering that forgiveness of sins and cleansing from unrighteousness is freely available in Christ Jesus. You do not need to earn it, you only need to receive it freely.

STOP TRYING TO BE THE ATONING SACRIFICE

🎧Audio [Devotional & Bible] Here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1215

1 John 2:1-2 (NET)
(My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin.) But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous One, and He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for our sins but also for the whole world.

Vivian did something she had promised the Lord she would never do again. Because of this she was very sad and started to believe that Lord has not forgiven her. She believed that the Lord had withdrawn his grace and protection. But she was very wrong.

Like Vivian, many Christians allow depression to deprive them of grace because they refuse to accept the forgiveness of the Lord but continue to think that the Lord is angry with them because of what they did. They do not realize that God knew they would do what they did long before they did it, and He was not surprised that they did, but made arrangements for their atonement.

It is OK to feel remorse about a sin. As a matter of fact, the feeling of guilt associated with sin is a sign that you are spiritually alive and healthy. But just like other good things the Lord has created, the devil will try to exploit that feeling and use it to destroy you.

The way to deal with sin is to repent and forsake it and move on. Jesus is the one who does all the spiritual work, including the cleansing from guilt and every other evil associated with the sin (see 1 John 1:9).

Go into today knowing that Jesus alone is the atoning sacrifice for your sins. Stop trying to atone for your sins by allowing Satan afflict you with guilt and fear.

PRIDE AND INIQUITY

🎧Audio [Devotional & Bible] Here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1214

Proverbs 21:4 (NET)
Haughty eyes and a proud heart – the agricultural product of the wicked is sin.

Darius was very displeased with the way he was treated by his brother’s wife when he visited them. He felt she did not respect him enough, and he did not get over this offense. But unknown to him, he too was a very proud person at heart. That was why he was so grieved by his sister-in-law.

Because of this pride in his heart, anger entered his heart and hatred for his sister-in-law started to grow. It got to the point that he would tell lies against her.

When pride is allowed to remain in the heart, sin is being cultivated there. God sees a proud person as a wicked person (see Psalm 10:4). Pride and Iniquity are closely related and God calls them wickedness (see how the word ‘wickedness’ and ‘inequity’ are interchanged in Psalm 47:5 and Heb 1:9). Pride was one of the reasons Lucifer the arc angel fell and became Satan-Iniquity was found in him (see Eze 28:15).

God’s eyes do not behold iniquity (Habak 1:13). He does not listen to a man who regards iniquity in his heart (see Psalm 66:18). He resists the proud (see James 4:6).

It is our responsibility to guard our hearts against pride because it is a spiritual fertilizer that engenders the growth of iniquity in the heart.

One way to check for pride is by checking the rate at which you get angry. If you are very easily offended, it might be a sign that pride is in your heart.

Go into today remembering that the blood of Jesus is strong enough to wash away every pride and iniquity.
Ask the Lord to search you and purge your heart of every pride and iniquity.

YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

🎧Audio [Devotional & Bible] Here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1213

Matthew 5:14 (NET)
You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill cannot be hidden.

After Kole had been in his new office for two years, he had a speckles record of integrity. It wasn’t that he was never tempted to collect bribe like his predecessors, but he knew how to overcome imminent temptations in the place of prayer.
His MD invited him to his office. A conversation between them ensued:

MD: Mr. Kole, please come and sit down. I am so happy to see you.

Kole: Thank you, sir.

MD: I called you because I have been monitoring your office for the past two years. Mr. Paschal, who was there before you was very corrupt, he was removed because he gave this office a bad name. When Mrs. Umar suggested that we put you in that office, I didn’t agree with her. But she said she had worked with you and seen that you are a man of integrity. Now I see what she saw.

As everyone knows, my tenure as MD here will soon end, and I am recommending somebody for this Job. I would normally have recommended someone from my part of the country, but you have impressed me and I am recommending you as the next MD.

Kole was speechless. He was not even the tenth in line for the huge promotion. He remembered just three months ago when he was offered a seven digit bribe to manipulate some figures, but he didn’t. He prayed till the temptation lost its power. He later discovered that if he had taken the bribe the MD would have found out.

As you go into today, remember that the world has higher expectations from you because you are a Christian. Ask the Lord to help you walk worthy of your calling and shine your light in this dark world.

SPIRITUAL GROWTH

🎧Audio [Devotional & Bible] Here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1212

Psalm 19:[KJV]
The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes

When Monday was first born again, he saw the precepts of the Lord to be unbearable and difficult. He actually thought some of them were simply unfair. These were some of his thoughts: ‘why should I love my enemy?’ ‘It is not fair to turn the other cheek…’it doesn’t seem right to deny my feelings of passion...’ Etc.

As Monday grew spiritually, he started to see that the precepts of the Lord are for his own good. He started to understand the wisdom in doing things God’s way. He started seeing things from God’s perspective and no more from the perspective of the flesh. The Christian walk was no more a burden, but now a joyful adventure. He now understood why the Lord said ‘my yoke is easy, and my burden is light’ (see Matt 11:30).

As a Christian grows spiritually, he is transformed from being a carnal man to being a spiritual man. The walk of faith is a great burden to the carnal man, but it is great joy to the spiritual man. God’s will is that we will grow to the fullness of Christ and no more be dominated by the flesh but by the spirit. This doesn’t mean the flesh may not try to rear its ugly head every now and then, but it means we do not let the flesh control us but the spirit.

Go into today remembering that spiritual growth does not happen by chance or merely with time, it happens as a result of a deliberate craving for the sincere milk of God’s word (see 1 Pet 2:2).

Prayer: Dear Lord, please help me to feed on your [sincere] word and grow spiritually.

STAND THEREFORE

🎧Audio [Devotional & Bible] Here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1211

Ephesians 6:14 (KJV)
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness.

The pilgrim’s journey towards the Celestial City is not an easy one. Our Lord made it very clear that the road on which we will make this journey is indeed very narrow and difficult. (Luke 13:24 “Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able”). However difficult the road may be, the pilgrim’s strength comes from the assurance of the Lord Himself, “…lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.” Matt. 28:20. So, dear pilgrim, let your encouragement and strength come from the promise of our Lord.

Many pilgrims however, can identify with the words of prophet Micah in their experience. (Micah 7:8) “Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.”

Dear Christian, do you find yourself falling into sin frequently? Do you feel the powers of hell and darkness are winning the battle over your life? Do you wish you could pray some more or study the word some more? Do you wish you could have a more consistent walk with God?

Here is a word from the Lord for you today: stand therefore! You can’t wish victories into reality, you must stand. Rise up from the dark place of sin and stand in righteousness. Rise up from the place of laziness and complacency and stand in the place of prayer. The Lord Himself will be your light. Don’t just wish for these things, rise up, take your stand and do them.

Prayer: Dear Lord, grant me the strength to stand today, amen.

THE PLACE OF PRAYER 2

🎧Audio Version with Bible ☞ http://bit.ly/audio1210

Matthew 26:41[KJV]
Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Kole received a huge promotion. He knew he would be exposed to a lot of money in this new position. Most of the people who occupied that office before him became very rich by unjust means through that office. But Kole knew God was putting him in that office to represent Christ and be a beacon of righteousness.

But when he truthfully evaluated himself, he realized that he did not have enough strength to resist the temptations of that office. He decided to conquer this weakness in the place of prayer. He prayed until he knew he had received the strength to resist the temptations of that office.

When Jesus was tempted to abandon the cross and not do the Father’s will, He prayed until he prayed through and received strength for the task ahead. The way to handle temptation is by prayer, it is not by boldface.

If you begin to sense that you do not have the strength to overcome a particular temptation that is coming your way, pray about the issue until you receive strength to overcome.

Prayer is the way through which the weak flesh receives strength to do what the spirit wills. Many Christians have become carnal and fleshly because they have abandoned their place of prayer.

Go into today remembering that prayer is the way through which the grace of God in your spirit is transmitted to your [weak] flesh that wants to make you fall. You have to always be truthful in your evaluation of yourself and pray to overcome any perceived weakness.

THE PLACE OF PRAYER

🎧 Audio Version with Bible ☞ http://bit.ly/audio1209

Matthew 21:12-13 (NET)
Then Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all those who were selling and buying in the temple courts, and turned over the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves.
And he said to them, “It is written, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but you are turning it into a den of robbers!”

When Dayo moved to the city he started attending a church that was very popular, but something was missing in that church. They didn’t pray much. They even despised the idea of having all night prayer meetings (even though many of the church members who were very busy during the week would have found that an opportunity to pray and spend quality time with God), and their normal meetings hardly exceeded 90mins. In such meetings one wouldn’t get to pray for more than 10mins.

Dayo’s smartphone was stolen the first Sunday he attended that church, the next Sunday, somebody reached into his pocket and stole his money inside the church. Many of his church brothers and sisters were business people using the church as a place to meet clients. In just three weeks, Dayo had been approached (in church) by 9 different multi-level marketing proposals. It was clear that many of the church members didn’t really love God.

We can learn from today’s Bible verses that when prayer has been taken away from God’s house, it becomes a den of robbers. God’s house should be a place of prayer, but if it is not, it becomes a den of thieves.

Your life should be a life of prayer because you are also God’s temple. If there is one activity that you do the most, it should be praying.

Go into today remembering that God wants you to pray without ceasing (see 1 Thess 5:17). This is the secret of a healthy spiritual [and physical] life in Christ. Prayer increases the flow of grace and power.

THE POWER OF RIGHT BELIEVING 2

🎧 Audio Version with Bible ☞ http://bit.ly/audio1208

Rom 10:10 (KJV)
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Serdo woke up in the morning and was feeling very condemned and unrighteous. She felt this way because she believe that God had not forgiven her of her sins even though she had repented. She woke up with a new wave of guilt and this was going to affect the whole of her day. But she started reading the word of God, and she remembered how much God loves her as her father. She began to say 'if God is my father, then all these things I’ve been thinking are not true. I am a child of God and I am blameless and righteous in His sight’.

One of the biggest manifestations of what you believe is what you say. You can also use what you say to control what you believe (see Prov 18:21). That was what Serdo started doing, and it worked.

If it looks like what you believe is not consistent with God's word, confess God's word until it begins to change what you believe. This can take several minutes or even hours in the place of prayer. But never forget that what you believe will control the course of your life.

The Holy spirit ministers righteousness to your spirit, He is the one who makes you know that you are God’s righteous child.
Satan is the one who minsters condemnation to your spirit, he always tries to make you feel you are not righteous enough and God is not pleased with you.

Go into today remembering that you are to resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4:7). One potent tool with which to do this is the word of God. Confess what God says concerning you and resist the condemning thoughts engineered by the kingdom of darkness.

THE POWER OF RIGHT BELIEVING 1

Special Prayer for the sick in today's Audio
🎧 Audio Version with Bible ☞ http://bit.ly/audio1207

1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV)
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Pastor Dan:… and Ikenna, don’t forget that God will never allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to handle.

Ikenna: But Pastor, my experience says the contrary. The temptations I’ve been facing are much more than what I can handle. That is why I am here to see you sir.

Pastor Dan: you underestimate yourself spiritually. Do you not know that what you believe and say would control your life? What you believe is very important, even your salvation is as a result of what you believe. You believed in the Lord Jesus and received His salvation.

One of the biggest deceptions of the devil against Christians is to make us believe that the temptations we face are insurmountable. As soon as you begin to believe that you cannot overcome a temptation, you have weakened yourself and greatly reduced your power to overcome.

But if you go into every day believing God’s word that He will not allow any temptation that is beyond your strength to come your way, even though you see a temptation that looks beyond your strength, you will find a way of escape.

Go into today knowing that what you believe is very important. Never ever believe that there is any challenge you can face that you cannot overcome. Your Father in heaven who controls all things will never let such challenges come your way.

Prayer: Thank the Father for His word today. Ask for grace for right believing in every area of life.

DO NOT BE DECEIVED

🎧 Audio Version with Bible ☞ http://bit.ly/audio1206

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (NIV)
9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Kemi had received Christ, but she was still a liar and an immoral person. She was told that what she did does not matter, but she was deceived. Her eyes opened when she read today's Bible verses. It even says that ‘do not be deceived’. The Spirit of God knew that the devil will try to deceive many Christians that they can continue in wrongdoing and still inherit the kingdom of God, but God wants you to know today that He has saved you from your sins through the sacrifice of Christ. You now have the power to say ‘no’ to sin and ‘yes’ to righteousness. This power makes you a child of God (see John 1:12, 1 John 3:9).

If you fall, do not be discouraged. Even if you fall seven times, you will rise again (see Prov 24:16). Your portion is not to remain on the ground. Rise up, dust yourself and continue the fight. The devil is trying to wear you out, but remember that the power at work in you is greater, so you are the one who will wear him out by not giving up but always rising up and moving on.

Go into today remembering that we war against the flesh in the place of prayer. Remember to use the power of prayer to conquer the power of the flesh.

MAKE THE FLESH YOUR SLAVE

🔊 Audio Version with Bible ☞ http://bit.ly/audio1205

1 Corinthians 9:27 (NET)
Instead I subdue my body and make it my slave, so that after preaching to others I myself will not be disqualified.

Dare was an Evangelist who preached everywhere, but he was not very careful with the way he lived. He continued to ignore the fact that his flesh was now controlling him until one day he fell into a sin that caused him great scandal. Everyone was shocked, and people started doubting the authenticity of his ministry.

Apostle Paul understood that he needed to subdue his body and make it his slave. He understood that what could make him disqualified is if he walked in the flesh.

Sin is in the body (flesh), but righteousness is in your spirit. You have to choose the one you will walk in, whether the flesh or the spirit.

As far as we are in this body of flesh, we have to crucify it daily and never let it control us (see Luke 9:23). The flesh will always try to control us, but it is our responsibility to make it our slave. We must always say 'no' to the flesh and never get tired of saying so. We know that in the fullness of time, God will give us new bodies of righteousness and glory. While we wait for this to happen, do not be tired of resisting the flesh and walking in the Spirit. Most of our spiritual warfare is against the flesh. If this war is won, there is no devil that can stop us.

Go into today remembering that walking in the flesh produces spiritual death, it can cause even the greatest preacher to be disqualified. Walking in the spirit produces life and peace. It is the remedy for walking in the flesh.
Thank the Lord for the grace to walk in the spirit.
