๐Ÿ”Š Audio Version with Bible ☞

1 Corinthians 9:20 (NKJV)
and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law

Apostle Paul was born a Jew, but when he became born again, he knew he was now a new creature and no more to be known after the flesh (see 2 Cor 5:16, Col 3:11, Gal 5:6). In today's Bible verse we see him say ‘to the Jew I became as a Jew’ and the question that comes to mind is ‘was he not still a Jew when he wrote this?’

Even though physically speaking Paul could be called a Jew, Paul knew that in Christ, his identity could no more be defined by anything earthly. He counted everything (including his Jewish heritage) as worthless, because of the excellency of the knowledge Christ Jesus (see Phil 3:8).

Many Christians are not yet experiencing the glory that comes from the knowledge of Christ, and many are still suffering from [demonic] limitations associated with family, clan, tribe or race because they still count certain physical heritages and achievements as something to be reckoned with. They do not realize that the more you reckon (define yourself) with earthly things (heritages, race, culture, achievements, etc.) the more you are depriving yourself of the excellency (glory) of Christ. Demons do not bow to you because you are a Jew or because you have a PHD, they bow to you because you are a citizen of heaven.

Go into today knowing that the most important thing about you is your citizenship in heaven. Let that be your batch of honor in life. It is more powerful than any other in time and in eternity.
