Rom
8:5-8
Those
who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who
are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.
So
letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the
Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. 7 For the sinful nature is
always hostile to God. It never did obey God's laws, and it never will. 8
That's why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can
never please God.
NLT
Even
though you are born again, you can allow the sinful nature control you or allow
the Spirit of God, whose tabernacle in your spirit, control you. Remember that
we have said here that one of the ways to do this is by walking in the Spirit
and this means giving your spirit life more priority to your flesh life; giving
more priority to the things that enhance your spiritual life.
The
truth is that allowing the Holy Spirit to control the way you live or walking
in the Spirit is a key to peace.
God’s
plan for you indeed is perfect peace and He has given you an ultimate rout to experiencing
this: WALKING IN THE SPIRIT.
May
the grace of God lead us to walking more and more in the spirit and less and
less in the flesh. Amen
PRAYER:
dear heavenly father, I thank you for the opportunity I still have to be
counted among your own. I thank you for the grace you have given me to be able
to walk in the Spirit. I pray lord that you help me walk more and more in the
grace daily, in Jesus name. Amen.
