Do not be conformed to this present world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may test and approve what is the will of God - what is good and well-pleasing and perfect.

Emeka knew that the Lord gave him an apostolic ministry, but his wife wasn’t interested in ministry and she made this very clear to him. She would make life very difficult for him if he traveled to minister the word of God. She would always say ‘I married a businessman, not a pastor’.

Her behavior and demeanor around people who came to see her husband (for ministry reasons) was very bad. She felt her husband somehow deceived her. She did not plan to live this 'pastor's wife' life when she married him.

It became more difficult for Emeka to fulfill his ministry because of his wife. Instead of being a helper to him she added to his work. Emeka knew that despite the fact that his wife wasn't cooperating, it was not an excuse not to fulfill his ministry. He asked the Lord for grace and wisdom to still have a good marriage with his wife despite her lack of cooperation with him regarding things of the ministry.

In discerning the will of God concerning who to marry, it is important that you already know the kind of life that God wants you to live. If you know that the Lord is calling you into ministry to His body, you need to be particularly careful in the place of marriage, because the devil will be particularly interested in misleading you there. Do not walk only by sight; walk by faith; with divine guidance and counsel from older ministers of God to whom you are accountable.

Go into today asking the Lord to help you always walk in the fullness of His will for you.
