James 2:23
And the
scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed
unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

Abraham was called the friend of God because he walked with God
and trusted Him in a peculiar way.
One of the major keys we shall highlight here about being
friends with God is trusting in Him. You
need to know today that God is interested in your well-being and that God truly
loves you. God wants better for you than you want for yourself. You need to
walk in the knowledge of this just like our father Abraham did and had a close
relationship with God. The outworking of this knowledge is that you now
completely allow the kingdom and government of God to rule every aspect of your
life. This means you now live your life according to His will and decrees.
Enter today with an assurance that your lord in heaven also wants
to be your friend. He wants you to have sweet fellowship with Him through His
spirit.
Prayer: Dear lord in heaven. I thank you for your grace that you
have given me today. I ask dear lord that you help me to have a closer relationship
with you from today, in Jesus name. Amen
