Romans 8:33-34
Who will bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies.
Who is to condemn? It is Christ Jesus, who died, yes, who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who indeed intercedes for us. [NRSV]
Andrew was afflicted with sickness. Before this happened, he saw it in a dream, but he could not resist the affliction adequately because he was still feeling guilty about something he had done wrong. Andrew was afflicted because there was an accusation leveled against him in the realm of the spirit and a guilty conscience hindered his access to God’s presence where help is available. He received his healing when the words of today’s Bible text became alive to him.
No one can bring a charge against you who are born again. God is the one who justifies you and not your works. Jesus died for your sins and took the punishment for your sins upon Himself. This punishment includes sickness, disease, failure, untimely death, poverty, demonic afflictions and every other work of the devil which could be inflicted on us because of our sins.
Go into today trusting in the righteousness of Jesus and ignoring every accusation by pleading the blood of Jesus. Approach God’s throne of mercy and grace this day for help. Remember that Jesus has paid the price for your right standing with God and God’s power is transforming you more into His nature.
