THE MIRROR OF GOD’S WORD

2 Cor 3:18
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. [KJV]
When Deji was asked to pray, he sounded exactly like the general overseer of their church. If you didn't see him but only heard him pray, you would think it was the general overseer praying. He had also adopted the general overseer’s mannerisms and even walked and gestured like he did.
Even though Deji did not do this intentionally, the physical transformation he was experiencing was because he constantly beheld and listened to the general overseer of His church congregation.
This is the same way God wants to transform us from glory to glory. This transformation constantly happens as we behold Christ Jesus through His word. Now notice that God’s word is likened to a mirror or glass. When you look at a glass, you expect to see a reflection of yourself. When you look at God's word, you see a reflection of your ideal self in the face of Christ Jesus; this means everything that Jesus does is a possibility for you who constantly beholds Him(see 1 John 4:17).
Just like you expect to see your reflection in a mirror, God expects you to anticipate His glory in your Life as you look upon the mirror of His word. Remember that everything you receive from the Lord is received by faith.
Go into today expecting to be transformed by God’s word that is now within you.
Prayer: Ask the Lord to help you set Him before you at all times (see Psalm 16:8).
Ask the Lord to help you grow from glory to glory. Amen.
