Psalms 34:9-10
Remain loyal to the Lord, you chosen people of his, for his loyal followers lack nothing! Even young lions sometimes lack food and are hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. [NET]

What does it mean to be loyal to the Lord?

When the people of Israel were migrating to the Promised Land, they were led by the Lord through Moses. A day came that Moses went to the mountain to meet with the Lord and was there longer than they expected. He wasn’t even gone for up to forty days when the people devised a way to practice idolatry-something that they always believed was a viable option to serving God. You see, they had lived for centuries among idol worshipers who were also very prosperous, they probably felt idols too had power, but this only proved that they were not loyal to the Lord (see Exo 32).

A loyal Christian will not compromise his faith because of pressure, he will not cheat in an exam because he might fail, he will not lie because he might get into trouble; a loyal Christian trusts in the Lord to save him from and through every situation. He would rather displease men that displease God.

We see that when God’s people are loyal, God himself guarantees their provisions in life.

Go into today determined to be a loyal Christian. Determine that from today, you will represent Christ even when it may seem unpopular. This is the way to walk in God’s greater blessings.

Thank the Lord because He supplies your needs

Ask the Lord to help you remain loyal and please Him always. Amen.
