Sola started having night mares each time he closed his eyes to sleep at night. It got to a point that Sola was now afraid of the night because of his bad dreams. It was now clear to Sola that he was under demonic oppression. One day, Joshua came visiting him and he told Joshua about this problem. He expected Joshua who was a leader in their church to pray for him or suggest that they both fast and pray about the problem. Joshua simply looked at Sola and said “you keep getting these attacks because you are spiritually weak. When last did you pray?" “I pray all the time, I don't play with my quite time”. Sola replied. "No, I mean when last did you take out time to pray fervently?" Joshua asked. "hmm, it’s been very long o" Sola replied". Joshua now educated him that fervent prayers were the kind of prayers that made much power available, and spiritually weak Christians were the ones that constantly got attacked; attacks come in different forms. That day, Sola went to a quite place and prayed fervently in the spirit for about 15 minutes. That was the last day he ever had any of those nightmares.
Even though sola was a Christian, he was suffering because he lacked some knowledge. You see, prayer is like fire, the more fervent your prayers the more your fan the flame to burn bigger. The bible talks about fervent prayers that make much power available (see James 5:15b :AMP).
Go into today determined by the Help of the Holy Spirit, to increase your prayer life and see a greater manifestation of God's power in your life.
Prayer: Father, please help me to pray like Jesus prayed, in Jesus name. Amen.
