Luke 21:18
18. But there shall not an hair of your head perish. KJV
Job was blessed and highly favored by God. God prospered him on every side, from business to family. He was the envy of all; an epitome of God's goodness. But everything changed all of a sudden, Job lost all that he had in one day, he lost all his children too. It appeared as though God suddenly lost interest in Job. But God didn't.
Matt. 10:29-30 tells us that not one of the sparrows falls to the ground without the notice of God; but the very hairs of our heads are numbered. This depicts God's personal care and interest in every believer. Our text for today shows us that God still loves and cares for us in the midst of trials and persecutions.
God’s love for us is everlasting and His faithfulness is forevermore (see Jer 31:3). He never changes His mind about you; He knew all the wrongs you will commit before He chose you. We are more than conquerors through Him that loves us, not through our own strength (Rom 8:35-39). It is in the realization of this truth that we find strength to overcome both trials and temptations.
Go into today knowing that we should always be thankful to God for His everlasting love towards us, even in difficult times. This is the most important step to a positive turnaround.
Prayer:heavenly Father, I thank you because your Love for me is great. Please give me the grace to always remember that You love me; that I may find strength to overcome, in Jesus name. Amen
