WE ARE TO MAKE DISCIPLES

Matt 28:19-20

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

NIV

This was the first time Dr. Femi and his team was doing this. They were mostly doctors and other professionals who felt the need to minister free health care to a community and preach the gospel in the process. They recorded a massive harvest of souls but they knew it was just the beginning; they also needed to make disciples of these souls…

Jesus has given every Christian an awesome assignment. We are to make disciples not just of individuals but of nations. How do we do this?

We are to first preach the gospel to them. We are to be witnesses for Christ with our lives and words.

Secondly, we are to baptize them; this also entails introducing them to the Holy Ghost. Anyone who is baptized in the Holy Ghost receives grace to do exploits.

Thirdly, we are to teach them things we ourselves have learnt from the lord over time. This will help establish them. This takes longer time.

Go into today knowing that you have a responsibility from the Lord to make disciples; a responsibility for which you will give account before God someday. You can make disciples of your children, your employees, your colleagues, your pupils, friends, family members and even strangers.

Prayer: thank you heavenly father for saving me and making me a light to show the way to others. I pray for more grace to do this more effectively, in Jesus name I pray. Amen.
