Heb 13:5
Don't love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said,
"I will never fail you.
I will never abandon you."*
NLT
We are to love the lord God with all our hearts and souls and minds and with all our strength. This means we are to love God from our spirits, from our souls and minds (i.e. we consciously occupy our minds with thoughts about God, pleasing Him, etc.) and with all our strength (i.e. we use our strength to do things for the furtherance of his kingdom because we love Him). By the time you successfully do these, there is no more heart; mind or strength left to love anything else except who God says to love and money/mammon does not make it to the list.
There is such great wisdom in being satisfied with what you have, not because of indolence but because of a deep trust in God who has promised never to leave you in this world. When you are satisfied this way, you give God unrestricted access to bless as He pleases in your life because you trust Him. God is on your side, He has all power and He wants the absolute best for you in this world.
Go into today loving Him and letting Him into every corner of your life by trusting absolutely in Him. He is giving you much more than you could ever imagine (see Eph 3:20).
Prayer: Dear heavenly father, I thank you for this day you have brought me safely into. Dear lord I pray you shed your love abroad in my heart; give me power dear lord to love you. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
