1 Cor 8:5-7
For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
7 Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.
After giving your life to Christ and allowing Him to change the way you think, do not let the devil deceive you into thinking the way the world thinks again, he always wants God’s children to think they have less than what God has given them; he always uses the system of the world to deceive others that the world has more to offer. You keep your renewed mind by continuing to be renewed through practicing the word of God.
As a Christian you need to maintain a habit of filling your heart and mind with the word of God because this will serve as a safeguard against the tricks of the devil. Try and practice, meditate, study, listen to God’s word in an atmosphere of prayer.
Jesus has come to set you free from the bondage of the devil and the spiritual lords that have held your family in bondage. When you accept His gospel and give yourself to Him wholly, you then become His responsibility. Nothing will ever happen to you by accident. And even if unpleasant things have happened to you, they will end up working together for your good.
Go into today with a renewed zeal for God’s word and prayer. Let the kingdom of God fill your world and see a greater dimension of the blessing.
Prayer: our dear father. We thank you for giving us this day our daily bread. We pray for those who do not have, that you provide for them. We pray you make us more aware of your presence in our world, in Jesus name. Amen
