1 Cor 8:5-7

For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)

6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

7 Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.

KJV

When a Christian acknowledges an idol or spiritual lord, it means the Christian still thinks they have power but God may have more power than them. I have heard about Christians who still observe demonic rights and take part in demonic rituals for the dead and during certain occasions. Many of them do this because they fear of the power of the idol to which they submit themselves by taking part in those rituals.

The problem began from they still acknowledging that those idols and demons still have power over them. I have even heard of such people saying that they were only giving unto Caesar what was Caesar’s.

Acknowledging that a demon has power is a denial of the power of the spirit of Christ in you as a Christian if acknowledge and do things that proves that you are convinced that that demon has power over him. All power belongs to Jesus; Either Jesus has all power in your world or He has no power in your life.

When Jesus died he told us that “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth” - Matt 28:18. This means that when you are in His kingdom and He is in you, you get to walk in the reality of this truth and there is no other power that can exist in your world (of influence) except His power.

Prayer: I thank you father for your revelation that I am in your kingdom and that there is no other power relevant enough to control my decisions. I pray that you fill me with grace to walk in the reality of this truth, In Jesus name, Amen
