1 Cor 8:5-7
For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
7 Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.

The kingdom of God came with light into this world. Anywhere the church of Christ which is the embassy of His kingdom is, there should be such light that darkness becomes irrelevant.
We learn in our bible text that though there be gods and spiritual lords, to us in the kingdom of God there is but one God; the father, the maker of all things. His presence in our lives makes those other gods and spiritual lords irrelevant and completely powerless.
Not all have this knowledge; that all power belongs to the Spirit of Christ who now dwells within them and idols and demons are totally powerless when the Spirit of God lives in them. Many demons are still so powerful in the life of Christians because they still acknowledge those demons.
We are to live a life dominated by a God consciousness and one that does not give any regard to the presence of reality of demons. We do this not because we are ignorant of their existence and devices but because we are more than conquerors over them and we have the light of life within us.

Prayer: Dear heavenly father. I thank you for giving authority in the name of the lord Jesus. I thank you because I have power over all the powers of the enemy. I pray you give me strength to constantly walk in this reality in Jesus name. Amen
