Heb 1:1-3
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

There was a time when the only way through which humans accessed God was through the Holy prophets. God spoke to us in times past through the prophets and this was characterized\by a scarcity of God’s express words.
God has in these last days been speaking to humankind directly through His son Jesus Christ.
These are the last days indeed and this not because we are in a millennium for the last days actually begun about 2000 years ago, it is because Jesus Christ has come and has been glorified. He is the one who God prophesied about in the Garden of Eden when He said the seed of the woman will bruise the head of the serpent and we see in Revelations 12 that the serpent referred to there is the devil. You will also notice that God in Genesis 3 did not say that the man’s seed but He said the woman’s seed indicating that Jesus who was not conceived of a man but by the Holy Spirit in a woman’s womb will be the seed who will bruise the head of the serpent who is the devil and satan.
Because Jesus has come to the world and is now glorified in heaven, the last days have begun. It is the last days because God has called game over for the kingdom of darkness that have been running this world since human community started. It is last days because the kingdoms of this world that are controlled by the prince of this world (Satan) are about to be destroyed and give way for the kingdom of God and of His Christ (see Rev 11:15).
It is the last days because the rapture can now happen anytime and God will reveal and perfect the manifestation of His sons whose bodies of flesh had hitherto hindered their manifestation on the earth as limitless sons of God (see Romans 8:23).these will rule and reign with Christ on this physical earth, establishing a new order of things for one thousand years before the creation of the new heaven and new earth.
It is the last days because since the Christ who is Jesus has been glorified, the Holy Spirit could now come down in His power and be poured upon men of flesh(see Acts 2).
Go into today knowing that you have been given power by Jesus to trample over all the powers of the enemy
