Spiritual Maturity part 2

Listen to Audio Version

1 Cor 2:6-10

6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

KJV

The word perfect in verse six is also interpreted to mean mature in other translations.

Children do not get to hear wisdom because they do not yet have the ability to discern between wisdom and foolishness; lest the sower cast his precious pearls to swine.

The deepest mysteries of the kingdom of God will just seem to be some senseless and fanatical ideology to the average person who is not yet truly born of the Spirit.

When a man becomes born of the Spirit, that man is not just only born again but has decided to be led constantly by the Holy Spirit. He has chosen to put away the works of the flesh and become dominated by the spirit life.

When you are led by the spirit, it means you are no longer led by the flesh; your feelings, emotions, appetites etc.

God’s glorious light has shown in our hearts and given us access into the deep things of the majesty above who is forever praised and honored. Amen.
