1 Cor 2:6
We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.

There was a child who thought he was old enough to drive at the age of 10, he argued that he understood everything there was regarding driving and he could not understand why his father wouldn’t let him drive. All his father told him was that as long as he cannot see with the rear mirror according to the current setting he (his father) had created, that he would not be able to drive accurately. It wasn’t until he became old enough that his father explained to him the real reason why he could not drive, he was too young, there were some things he could not understand then, he didn’t realize driving and owning a car came with its responsibilities and disciplines including rules that he shouldn’t break while plying the road- traffic rules.
When you are not yet mature as a Christian, you may not realize that there is great responsibility that comes with the power that you should have as a Christian. You need to know that the same way you nourish your physical life and grow you to do so more so to your spirit life to let it grow. You will need to know that there has to be the discipline of a committed prayer life and word study life, there has to be discipline of considering others before yourself and being humble (see: Phil 2:3-4:Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. 4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others).
Like the young boy in our story, there is need for spiritual growth and development for there to be an understanding of the deeper mysteries of the kingdom and this is when one gets to operate in greater dimensions of power.
Go into today knowing that God has made all grace abound towards you and God’s plan for you is spiritual growth.
