Rom 10:14

But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? [NLT]

Nkechi was a single mother and her Job was becoming more and more demanding. Her son Leke was only thirteen and she wanted him to be shielded from the vices of society. She had hoped he would be interested in playing football “at least that would distract him from doing bad things” but he was rather interested in computers and video games. Because Akindele's Cousin had video games, he used to charge people to play them in Akindele’s barbers shop. Nkechi now noticed that Leke was always in the barbers shop when she was not around. She went to Akindele and requested that he keeps an eye on Leke since she wasn't usually around. At that moment, it occurred to Akindele that he was a mentor to many of the boys who came to his shop every day. He used that opening to introduce every one of them to Christ. They had so many questions that he was happy to answer. Some of the boys were not interested in his message and no longer came to the shop, but most of them kept coming back and Akindele would teach them more and more of Christ.

Akindele used his position of influence over those young boys to lead them to Christ. It wasn't easy but the Lord gave him wisdom to do so.

As you go into today, ask the Lord to help you use your position of influence for the purpose of His kingdom.

Ask for wisdom to be a witness even in the market place. Amen.
