Fear is a spirit, it is not good and it's not perfect, hence it's not from God. God gave us the spirit of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Fear causes us to undermine the truth of God's word and elevate the size and opinion of man. Fear causes us to seek consensus rather than really seeking the voice of the Lord.
The presence of fear depicts the absent of faith. Fear makes us focus on our problems rather than focusing on God. The imperfect one can only leave when the perfect one comes. Fear comes when we do not acknowledge the truth of God's word. We tend to believe more of what the world and our senses tell us rather than what the word of God says.
In fighting fear, we need to realize that God loves us and is committed to making all things work together for our good because we now belong to Him. Our fears will no longer exist when we begin to see our fears in the light of the Almightiness of God.
Fear comes from the knowledge of an unfavorable event or a wrong perception we have about a particular thing. Fear comes from the knowledge of that which brings fear. So also ,faith comes from the knowledge of that which brings faith. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
Go into today determined to feed your Spirit with God's word. Do not be controlled by what you feel with your senses, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind with God's word.
