Prov 16:3

Commit your works to the Lord, and your plans will be established. [NET]

Daniel had to drop out of secondary school to help his mother sell and feed the family. Daniel had always desired to become an engineer. When he was 18, he had a plan: he had saved enough money to buy books and register for an external secondary school certification examination (GCE). He decided to study very hard, attend free tutorial classes (organized by his church) and write the GCE. He prayed and committed his works to the Lord. The Lord led him to friends who helped him understand his academics. He passed his GCE and got a scholarship from his church. He got into a tertiary institution to study civil engineering.

We see from today's Bible text that we should commit our works to the Lord and our plans will be established. This means we need to first have plans. A plan is a logical and realistic way you intend to achieve your goals per time. This involves things you do right now that would move you in the direction of where you desire to be. God gives us visions that are usually bigger than where we currently are. No one gets things done by doing nothing, you need to begin something and have a realistic plan that God can bless.

Go into today determined to take steps that would move you in the direction of where God has shown you. It may be time to apply for that masters, read that book, write that business plan...do something and know that God will bless it.

Prayer: Thank God for giving you visions that are bigger than your current state. Ask God to empower you to accomplish them in the appointed time; that there shall be no more delay, in Jesus name. Amen
