John 1:12-13
But to all who believed him and accepted him,
he gave the right to become children of God. 13 They are reborn—not with a
physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes
from God.
Even though
Jerry didn’t really want to leave the kingdom that day, he believed he had no
choice but to do so. All the money his king gave him to keep had been stolen by
armed robbers when he was asleep. How could he tell the king that he has lost
all the kingdom estate put within his care? He ran to a far land where he
didn’t expect anyone to find him. “The king would be so angry with me that he
would order my instant execution…” but he was wrong, He didn’t realize the extent
to which the king loved Him, he didn’t know that the king actually had a plan
long ago to adopt him and make him a prince.
How would he now know that the king had sent His own son, His only
begotten son to save Him from the task masters in this far away land to which
he was enslaved, how would he know that accepting and believing this son would
mean that he can now be adopted and made a son and a price?
God loves
you so much that He has given you the opportunity to be His child. He wants to
have a personal relationship with you if you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ
as your savior and Lord. He wants you to walk in your power and authority as
His prince if you are not yet doing so but are now born again.
Prayer:
Thank you father for sending your only begotten son Jesus Christ to come and
save me and bring me into your family. May I walk worthy of this calling in
Jesus name I pray. Amen
