Luke 16:10 (NLT) "If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won't be honest with greater responsibilities.
The Lord called Gloria into the ministry and she knew she would do great things on the earth for the Lord, but she was not patient with the little beginnings.
She was made an usher in the church, but what she really wanted was to be a Bible study facilitator. God’s plan for her was for her to grow in service and overcome impatience as an usher because she was a very impatient person.
It takes patience to be faithful in the little things. Many people have walked out of their destiny in God because they were not patient. Many others have made their road very complicated because they were not patient.
There are levels you can only reach in God’s kingdom when you are patient and consistent. Patience is one of the biggest signs of faith. Because of impatience, most of the people of Israel that left Egypt could not enter the Promised Land. Because of impatience, Esau lost his birthright. Because of impatience, Saul lost his place as God’s appointed king.
Go into today remembering that patience is a virtue that is produced by faith. God uses our faithfulness in the little things to determine whether we are ready for the bigger things.
Prayer: Dear Lord, please help me to be faithful in the little things you have entrusted in my hands. Amen.
