Richard got a job in that nation as a medical doctor, migrated there and started practicing. But his medical practice was simply ‘tent making’ (as in the case of Paul). He was a man on a mission. His real work was to be an apostle of the Lord in that land where it was a crime to preach the gospel.
He noticed that there were many people in that nation from his native country, and he knew that many of them came as Christians. He started seeking out the true believers among them. As soon as he found up to two willing believers, they started meeting regularly in his house to pray.
The number grew to five and continued to grow. All they did every night was to pray (mostly in the spirit) and sometimes share the word. They interceded for the land and asked the Lord to rain down mercy and salvation.
A time came that Richard was sure that he had the healing anointing. Some of his patients whose cases defied medical treatment were his first converts because he ministered healing to them in the name of the Lord and wonderful miracles happened. These converts became members of his secret prayer meeting.
Before recharge migrated to that country in obedience to the Lord, he had never worked in the healing anointing. But as he started his mission, he walked so much in the healing anointing that he was sure HIV, cancer and many other incurable sicknesses would be cured if he simply laid his hands on the patient.
Go into today remembering that one of the biggest activators of the anointing upon any life is obedience and service. Every child of God should be a servant of God. We would not all be apostles or ministers in the church, but we are all God’s ministers and witnesses in the world (see Ephesians 4:12).
