Luke 16:10-11 (NET)
“The one who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and the one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. If then you haven’t been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will entrust you with the true riches?
In the beginning, God created man (male and female) in His own image and blessed them saying, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:27-28
So you see! The desire to get wealth, multiply and dominate originated from God Himself. To want to get rich therefore is not evil.
In Genesis 28:12-13 (Paraphrased) God said: “you will lend unto many nations, and you will not borrow, and He Himself will make you the head, and not the tail, and you will be above only, and never be beneath.” A poor man will always borrow, so he cannot lend to nations neither can he be the head (leader).
We also see In 3 John 1:2 that God wants us to prosper and in Revelation 5:10 that, He made us a kingdom of kings and priests to our God, and we shall reign on the earth.”
These passages show that God really wants us to be rich, wealthy and dominate here on earth. Why is it then that not many believers tend to prosper here on earth, even though their souls have been saved?
Go into today knowing that God wants to commit the true riches of the kingdom to your hands. Will you let him?
