THEY THAT WAIT UPON THE LORD 2

Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

After Uche had spent time waiting on the Lord, he knew that his strength was renewed. The presence of God that felt far away was now close. He knew he had increased in strength and spiritual might, and he could now pray more effectively from that standpoint.

The issues that he had been praying about for weeks were resolved with just one prayer session after his strength was renewed.

Many times we try to treat the symptoms of a problem without treating the problem itself. There is nothing physical or material we can have that can intimidate the devil. What we have that intimidates him is the presence of God. Many of the battles the devil throws our way are calculated to bring us to the point where we lose our vital fellowship with God. He knows that that is our source of strength, and if we lose strength we lose the ability to render him irrelevant in our world.

Many things can happen to a Christian if he loses his robust fellowship with the Lord. This translates to a loss of spiritual strength. Loss of spiritual strength is the reason why a believer can be afflicted and oppressed. One of the first indicators for loss of strength is the loss of joy.

Go into today knowing that the fellwoship [and joy] of the Lord in your life is the source of your spiritual strength.
