Mark 4:40 (KJV)
And he said unto them, why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith?
Terry realized that when he is fearful it is because his faith is low. He noticed this when one day he had a bad dream concerning his family. He woke up from that dream crying and he spent the following weeks in fear because of that dream.
Someone gave him a book for his birthday and the book was a faith building book. After reading the book, he realized that the great fear in his heart vanished. He prayed a simple prayer and canceled that evil dream he had, and that was it.
We can see from today’s Bible verse that the disciples of Jesus were fearful because they had no faith.
Fear provides the atmosphere for demons to operate, but faith provides the right atmosphere for angels to operate in your favor.
Many times, before the enemy can strike, he first sends fear through words, dreams, visions, thoughts and imaginations or even demonically orchestrated events. The enemy knows that when a child of God is walking in fear and making his decisions because of fear, he cannot walk in faith at the same time. And what gives us victory as God’s children is our faith -“… this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith” (see 1 John 5:4).
One effective way to be delivered from fear is to seek the Lord. We do this through prayers, fasting, and meditating on God’s word. David knew this secret. He said “I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears” (see Psalm 34:4)
Go into today remembering that the way to build faith and multiply grace is by spending time with God [through His word and Prayer] daily. Read 2 Pet 1:2.
