Rev 21:5 [KJV]
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new...

When I was asking the Lord for a word concerning the New Year, it was impressed upon my heart that this New Year is going to be a fresh start for many. God is opening a new page for you and giving back all the opportunities you have lost.

Hear the words of an elementary school teacher:
He came to my desk with a quivering lip, the lesson was done.
“Have you a new sheet for me, dear teacher?
I’ve spoiled this one.”
I took his sheet, all soiled and blotted and gave him a new one all unspotted.
And into his tired heart I cried, “Do better now, my child.”

I went to the throne with a trembling heart, the day was done.
“Have you a new day for me, dear Master?
I’ve spoiled this one.” He took my day, all soiled and blotted and gave me a new one all unspotted.
And into my tired heart he cried, “Do better now, my child.”

In this New Year, the Lord is giving you a fresh start and saying to you “do better now, my child”.

Go into today determining to rely on Christ all the way. Make sure your heart is always filled with the joy of Lord, no matter the circumstances. Grace flows better in an atmosphere of joy.
Ask the Lord to come and fill your heart and your life with His joy this New Year.
