ONE BODY, ONE SPIRIT, ONE HOPE

Ephesians 4:4 [AMP]
One body and one Spirit--just as there is also one hope to the calling you received.

The calling we have received in being children of God has one hope, which is the adoption- the redemption of our bodies. This is what will [physically] reveal our true nature as sons of God (see Rom 8:23 in AMP). This is when we will be able to walk in the fullness of the riches of God’s power that we have access to. We would have bodies that cannot be killed or grow old, bodies that cannot get sick or weary, bodies that can participate in the divine realm naturally.

If our bodies will not be redeemed and our hope is limited to this world, we are of all men most miserable (see 1 Cor 15:19). But thanks to God, we have the guarantee and proof of this already with us: The Holy Spirit of promise that empowers us to walk in a foretaste of the powers to come.

Because we have this common hope, we are not bound by what binds the world. What moves the world does not affect our reality. We are seen as aliens in this world because we are not moved by what moves them.

This is what makes us able to appreciate our oneness as Christians, no matter how physically different we may be. We have been made one by the blood of Jesus. We are different from others and the same with one another because we have the same hope and are members of the same body.

Go into today knowing that you have more in common with a believer in Christ than your kinsman who is still an unbeliever.

Ask the Lord to help you discern His body appropriately.
