Numbers 14:24[KJV]
But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.

Caleb and Joshua were among the twelve elders that Moses appointed to go spy out the Promised Land. Ten of these spies came with a report of fear and despair. They said the inhabitants of the land were giants and would easily rout the armies of Israel. Only Joshua and Caleb maintained a different view. See their report;

'...The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land. If the Lord delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey. Only rebel not ye against the Lord, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defense is departed from them, and the Lord is with us: fear them not.' (Num 14:7-9).

What differentiated Caleb and Joshua's report from that of the other Ten was their viewpoint. While the Two focused on God's promise and His ability to fulfill, the Ten focused on the size of the problem. That attitude is what was termed rebellion. That sounds too serious for just 'airing' a different opinion. When you hold an opinion different from a King's- much more the King of kings-, that is rebellion.

Caleb and Joshua also, did not bother about being the minority so far they were on God's side. People that will make lasting and eternal difference must be willing to follow God, no matter how unpopular it makes them. It may be as regards a promise God made them or living the holy life that pleases God.

Go into today with your heart set on pilgrimage; ready to follow God no matter what.

Prayer: Lord, help me to make the difference that glorifies Your name today and always. Amen.
