John 3:3[ KJV]
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
What Jesus is telling us here is that there is a Kingdom called the kingdom of God, and those who will exist and live in this kingdom are those who are born into it.
Let me use this physical world as an example. Before you could exist and interact with this physical realm, you had to be born into it by a physical mother. Before you can exist in the kingdom of God, you have to be born of the Holy Spirit into God's kingdom. This means without being born of the Spirit you cannot interact with the kingdom (realm) of God (see John 3:3).
Remember that when the Lord was coming into this world, he had to be born into this world with a physical body.
I hope this understanding helps us see the reason we all ought to pray for the salvation of our loved ones. If they are not born again (born into God's kingdom), you won't see them in the new world of God's kingdom.
