1 Jn 5:19

We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

NET

Ugo couldn't understand why Ada acted so wickedly towards her step children. These children were harmless and helpless yet Ada treated them with such meanness, so much that one day, one of them went to school and refused to come back home with the school bus. He preferred to sleep in school and skip dinner than to go back home to the hatred from his step mother. Ugo couldn't understand the reason for Ada's behavior because Ugo was now fathered by God; with a regenerated heart while Ada was still of the world.

Anyone who is not born of God is of the world. As long as anyone is of the world, he is under the control of the prince of this world- Satan the evil one, and when a person is under the control of the evil one, he does evil things; when a person is now born of God, he does good things because God is good. Anyone who is under the control of the evil one is also at his mercy.

You are not under Satan's control because you are now fathered by God and God has given you authority over all the powers of Satan (see Luke 10:19).

Go into today with a renewed consciousness that God is your father and nothing can happen to you by accident. You are not to fear Satan and his agents, they are the ones to fear you. Also remember that being God's child means  you are to obey Him.

Prayer: Thank you heavenly father for saving me. I thank you for the grace to come before you as your child. I pray you help me always walk in this knowledge and never forget who I am, in Jesus name. Amen
