Eccl 11:4

If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done. (TLB)

Is there something the Lord has placed on your heart to do which you haven’t done yet? Is there a message you are to share but you have not? Is there a book the Holy Spirit wants you to write, a book that will touch lives, but you have not yet written it? Is there someone you were led to pray for and you kept on procrastinating? Or perhaps, have you registered for that exam? Have you applied for that job? What of that business idea, have you started something yet? Is there something you know you ought to do which you haven’t done yet? What is keeping you? What are you waiting for?

You see, friends, if you wait for the perfect conditions, you won’t accomplish anything. You know why? Because you may not have such conditions! Why not take a leap of faith. Why not step out in faith. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, depend wholly on Him and see Him lead you. (Prov. 3:5-6). God wants to lead you; He wants to help you accomplish that task. But you must step out by faith. Peterson in the message translation says “But there are some things that you cannot be sure of. You must take a chance.” Trust in God, and take a chance. Finally friends, put all your eggs in God’s basket, don’t worry, He doesn’t drop ‘His baskets’.

Go into today determined to get that project started and not procrastinate anymore.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you for grace to do all things through Christ that strengthens me, and I walk in that grace today in Jesus name, amen.

Otuokon, Ubokudom O.
