Gen 21:19
19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink. (HCSB)

The text above is taken from the story of a woman and her little son who found themselves in a very undesirable condition; rejected and alone. But God was with them and He opened her eyes to see a well of water.

It is important to realize that opportunities are always there with oppositions. Whatever the situation a person goes through, there is a well of opportunity to tap into. You only need God to open your eyes. Samson found himself in a precarious situation bound and surrounded by his enemies. God opened his eyes and he saw an opportunity in a jawbone of an ass. (Judges 15:15-19). With that jawbone he did not only defeat his adversaries, he also got water to quench his thirst. Another man, Joseph found himself in jail undeservedly. He saw people around him troubled by their predicaments. And he ministered to their needs. One day, one of those he ministered to connected him to the king and he became prime minister. (Genesis 41:9-14)

All the times the opportunities that will change our situations for the better are all around us. We only need God to open our eyes. They could be some persons you are not paying attention to. Or an idea staring you in the face.

Go into today knowing opportunities abound around you. Let that knowledge spring confidence in your heart as you face any challenge.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, open my eyes to see the opportunities for my lifting. Glorify your name as I recognize and maximize them. Amen.
