Ps 103:2

Let all that I am praise the Lord;

may I never forget the good things he does for me. NLT

"Why did God have to select you for such a bad disease?" This was the message Arthur Ashe, the legendary American Tennis Wimbledon player, received from a concerned fan, while he was dying from an incurable disease.

To this Arthur replied:

‘The world over, 50 Million children start playing Tennis, 5 Million learnt to play Tennis, 500 Thousand learn professional Tennis, 50 Thousand come to Circuit, 5 Thousand reach the Grand slam, 50 reach Wimbledon, 4 to Semifinals, 2 to the Finals, and when I was holding the cup in my hand, I never asked God "Why Me?"’ .

It is easy for us to forget God’s numerous blessings upon our lives; it is easier to complain than to be thankful, but no matter the situation you find yourself today, first remember to count your blessings. Every single new day is an opportunity for you to give God pleasure by being thankful in every situation and magnifying Him over everything- this is the best way to enter His presence (see Ps 100:4).

As you go into today, count your blessings, name them one by one. After this, tell your heavenly father where it hurts; and let Him take care of it.

Prayer: Thank you heavenly father for bringing me to this day. Thank you for saving me and accepting me. Thank you father, in Jesus name I pray. Amen
