Hebrews 12:14

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. KJV

One of the major causes of chaos in our world today is misunderstandings; when one person misunderstands the action of another. Take for an instance, if you stepped on someone's toes accidentally, and sometime later he or she also unconsciously steps on your toes, you may think she is taking revenge and this could cause a buildup of resentment toward the person, and this may ultimately lead to an argument.

One of the greatest mistakes one can make is to base conclusions on assumptions. We should always ask questions and get clarifications for what we are not very sure about. You can only be sure when you’ve heard from ‘the horse’s mouth’, and not just from your mind or other people’s speculations.

Bear in mind that the reason why we need the patience virtue is because the other person is not perfect and neither are we. People will always offend you, but before you think they did it on purpose, ask them why.

Go into today recognizing that in dealing with others, you are dealing with an entirely different person from yourself; you are to be slow to speak, swift to hear, and slow to anger(See Jam 1:19).

Prayer: Father, I thank you for your word today. Please Cause your word to work in me so that I may be willing and able to do of your good pleasure, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.
