Acts 16:25-26

25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everybody's chains came loose. NIV

Paul and Silas, although imprisoned, prayed and praised God. God responded with a miracle.

Praise is a type of prayer during which we forget about our problems and instead focus on the greatness of God. Our faith is turned on whenever we praise.

During periods of difficulty, praising God becomes difficult, we find it easier to grumble or complain, but it is at such times that praise becomes a sacrifice. The sacrifice of praise is a very powerful spiritual tool.

Whenever you truly praise God amidst troubles, these things are bound to happen:

1. The foundation of the problem shakes and quakes.

2. Doors of escape from that problem will open.

3. The burden imposed by the problem falls off and you're liberated.

Go into today with the determination to praise God even amidst difficulties, knowing that God will respond with a miracle. Take time out today to praise God.

Prayer: thank you father for you will respond with a miracle whenever I praise you, even today respond with a miracle as I praise you, in Jesus' name. Amen
