1Ki 18:21
And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word. KJV
Vain speculations, a lack of focus and commitment, and prayerlessness are the character of the double-minded. He takes an action by guesswork and retracts almost immediately as he sees the impending consequences; he starts off sailing on the right course, but with no conviction retracts in the face of a storm; He has no mind of his – hears one voice and acts accordingly, then he hears another and changes path again and again.
A double-minded person is one whose mind is not stayed on one choice as against the spirit of a fixed decision that is birthed in an answered prayer for direction, backed up with a strong conviction, followed up with a well-informed course of action and well directed focus executed without delay.
When we seek God’s guidance in prayers for decision making, as we receive his insight, we are to stick to his leading even in the face of oppositions.
PRAYER: Lord, help me to always follow through the right decisions I make, in Jesus Name. Amen
