Romans 15:4: "For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope."

KJV

The bible, a collation of the thoughts of God, was compiled for our learning. The purpose of scriptures is to instruct and teach us every day. The bible is one of the richest resource materials we can learn from. Everything about life can be discovered there. Economic principles, leadership principles, people management, financial intelligence, public relations and many other principles of life can be found in the bible. God intentionally designed it that way so that we can learn from it.

The passage we considered today points out that the bible, the word of God inspires hope in us through patience (on our part), and comfort of the scriptures. Now, here is the point, if you find yourself in a hopeless, desperate or challenging situation, go back to the word of God and look for a word that addresses such an issue. Once you get that word, stand on it and prayerfully face that situation. You will see hope come alive in you and you will come out victorious. God cannot lie, His word cannot be broken, if He said it, He will do it.

Go into today determined to bank on God’s word, you may have to wait for a while but don't lose faith, hold on to that word, it will surely come to pass.

Prayer: Thank you heavenly father because I know that the thoughts you have for me are good and not evil; I pray you help me see your good will manifest in my life, in Jesus name I pray. Amen
