GRACE IN TIME OF NEED

image

LISTEN TO AUDIO VERSION

Heb 4:14-

14 So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. 15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. 16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

NLT

Grace is the ability God gives you to do the things He requires of you. You need God’s grace because you cannot please Him using your will, power or strength- they will always fail you.

God has given us grace as a fuel to propel us into His will (and into our destinies). Grace is one of the most amazing things that happen to we believers and we receive grace by faith in the lord Jesus; we receive grace by believing in the finished work of Christ for us; He became a replacement for us so that we will no longer suffer the consequences of our sins and iniquities, He has given us free access to the throne of God and we can have fellowship with the most High God.

No matter how you feel today, no matter how guilty you might feel for something you did or did not do, God’s word for you today is that you have a high priest (Christ Jesus) who understands you perfectly and who is always on your side, you can approach God’s throne boldly where you will receive God’s mercy and grace to help you in time of need. This is the grace that helps you overcome sin and all the powers of the enemy-something you can never do by your power.

#Do this by simply asking.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for giving me access to your throne where I can obtain more grace. I pray I remain there by your mercy, in Jesus name. Amen
