1 John 1:5-7

This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

The definition of darkness is an absence of light. Take away the light and what you have is darkness.

If you are a Christian who is abiding in the will of God, He gives you His precious Holy Spirit to dwell in you. The Spirit of God who dwells in your spirit dwells also in your body because your spirit dwells in your body.

When you walk in the spirit as a child of God, this means you are living under the authority of God; you go about with a God consciousness and give your spirit more priority over your flesh. This also means you are walking in the light.

God is love, you cannot walk in the Spirit and not love; this becomes the nature of your spirit when it is regenerated and Housing the Spirit of God. Like a glove expresses the hand inside it, your Spirit begins to express the nature of God, your mind and body should follow suite. This is what happens when you chose to walk in the spirit. But if you refuse to do this, you are walking in the flesh: walking in darkness because anything void of the light(God) is darkness.

When you walk in the spirit, you are the one who the blood of Jesus cleanses constantly because the fact that you walk on the earth will require this constant cleansing.

Go into today walking in the nature of the spirit that you now have; walk in love.

Prayer: My father in heaven. I thank you for today and your word that you have sent to my heart. I pray that you fill me with all goodness and righteousness and truth( the fruit of the spirit- see: Eph 5:7) I pray this in Jesus name. Amen
