Rom 8:12-14
Therefore, dear brothers and sisters,* you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. 13 For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature,* you will live. 14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children* of God.

What does God means when he says that anyone who is controlled by the sinful nature will die? God is life and He is the source of all life. Sin is death and that was what the devil introduced to mankind in the Garden of Eden. When a man walks in the flesh; following the dictates of the sinful nature, that man will die spiritually. You must know that this instruction is to those who are already spiritually alive in the Lord Jesus. As you now have this new nature of righteousness in the lord Jesus you are required to walk in it and not in your old nature of sin that you were born with. The more you walk in the new nature, the more the old one fades away.
God’s plan for you is that you walk in His nature which is holiness. This nature is one that yields joy, peace, prosperity, Favor, power, might, wisdom and many more good things.
Go into today with a determination to follow your spiritual nature and abandon your fleshly nature. Walk in the spirit that you may not gratify the lusts of the flesh.
Prayer: Heavenly father. I thank you for your grace and your light you have shown in my heart. I pray that this day I will walk in my new nature as your child. That I will not walk in the flesh for any moment. I pray this in Jesus name. Amen
