TRUST AND OBEY

Acts 7:2-4
This was Stephen's reply: "Brothers and fathers, listen to me. Our glorious God appeared to our ancestor Abraham in Mesopotamia before he settled in Haran. 3 God told him, 'Leave your native land and your relatives, and come into the land that I will show you.' 4 So Abraham left the land of the Chaldeans and lived in Haran until his father died. Then God brought him here to the land where you now live.
NLT

Here we see Stephen describe Abrahams obedience to God. God told father Abraham to leave and he left, and then God led him.
Many of you reading this devotional today may want God to lead in certain aspects of your lives, the secret to being led by God is obeying Him.
The story was recited so simply but i am sure that it wasn’t that easy for Abraham to uproot his life from his home country and go to a place that he wasn’t told about.
There are many times that the will of God and His position that you know in certain situations are not the most convenient. If you really want the lord to lead you, then you have to trust Him enough to obey Him even when the instruction is very inconvenient.
Your trust in God is what will make you obey him no matter what. Your trust in God is because of your love for Him, your love for Him ids because you can see His love for you and have chosen to respond to His love.
God into today with a fresh determination to love the lord above any and everything.
Prayer: dear heavenly father, I thank you for your word. I pray that your word will produce fruit in my life unto eternal life, I pray that you fill me with your spirit and deliver me from every darkness in Jesus name. Amen
