HOW DEEP ARE YOUR ROOTS

Luke 8:13
Those on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.
NIV
It is very true that there are many Christians who are genuinely born again but when they face trails and tastings, they fall away.
One of the ways of knowing the nature of ones root as a Christian is understanding the premise of his being born again, were you born again because you needed something from God or because the Holy spirit convicted you of your sin and you saw your need for God.
Someone gave his life to Christ because he heard a sermon about how God gave a man a hummer jeep, if such a Christian does not feed intensively on the rudiments of the kingdom of heaven and understand the cross, such a Christian will not last.
I want you to ask yourself today; what inspired my repentance and acceptance of the lordship of Jesus Christ, also ask yourself if He is still in control as lord over your life.
Prayer: father in heaven, I thank you for saving me, I pray that you give me the right heart so I can grow in the fullness of your plan for my life, I pray you fill every thirst and hunger in me and give an addiction for you, in Jesus name I pray. Amen
